One Bird was a C-rank supernatural beast, considered quite powerful in ordinary mountain forests. He has twenty-nine younger siblings; the whole family was prone to brawls, and they were quite invincible in the mountains.
But a year ago, a bear spirit came to their mountains. The bear spirit had thick skin and powerful magic, and it defeated their thirty brothers and sisters.
Just when they thought they were about to be devoured by the bear spirit, a flash of light appeared, and an incredibly beautiful bluebird landed on their heads.
This bluebird was many times stronger than them. With a slight flap of his wings, he created a hurricane that threw the bear spirit into the mud, and then beat the bear spirit so badly that it never dared to approach their mountain forest again.
One Bird was filled with admiration for this powerful kin.
This senior bluebird seemed to have just awakened, completely unaware of the human world. After spending some time with them, it flapped his wings to descend the mountain and deliver messages.
One Bird and the others were afraid that the terrifying bear spirit would return after the great bluebird who had protected them left, so they left the forest where they had grown up and went with the great bluebird.
After getting acquainted with life in the human world, the great bluebird went to find a job.
One Bird and his siblings had been orphans since childhood. After seeing such a powerful senior of their kind, they all felt a deep sense of kinship and almost regarded him as their father.
They were very grateful to the great bluebird and wanted to work to earn money to repay this great bluebird who saved them.
The result—the games at the internet cafe were just too fun!
The colorful visuals, real-time interaction, and engaging storyline captivated these naive little birds, drawing them completely into the game.
After spending a day playing computer games in an illegal internet cafe, they felt extremely ashamed, feeling that they had let down the hardworking great bluebird.
They planned to go to work on the construction site the next day, but as they stepped through the dark entrance of the internet cafe, the swirling darkness seemed to draw them in, and they could never come out again.
After this happened countless times, One Bird felt increasingly ashamed. Whenever he saw the great bluebird search his entire body and only find two yuan for himself, he almost wanted to disappear into the ground.
However, his virtual pet was calling to him, his gaming friend wanted to play solo him, and he hadn’t finished watching his superhero movie. The addictive allure of the computer made him forget his guilt and hand over the hard-earned money from the great bluebird to the illegal internet cafe.
“One Bird, Two Bird… Thirty Bird, you can be released from prison!”
After reading such a long list, the staff felt his mouth was almost dry and couldn’t help but sigh, “Bird supernatural beasts are really prolific, and they can name themselves so randomly!”
The bluebirds eyes all lit up when it heard the staff’s words. The bluebirds chirped excitedly, “Great! Our senior has come to pick us up!”
“I haven’t finished my game yet, I need to go back and play. I haven’t had my fill of cursing yet, let’s go.”
“First, apologize to the senior. The kind senior will forgive us and then give us money to go online. I wonder how much money he made this time. It would be best if he gave us all of it to go online.”
One Bird and the others left the cell and arrived at the reception area, where they saw a familiar figure and were deeply moved.
One Bird stepped forward and looked obediently at Qing Niao. “Senior, we will never fight with anyone again. We know we were wrong.”
The other siblings nodded in agreement, their expressions utterly submissive. “That’s right, we’ll never go online again, and we’ll never get into conflicts with anyone again.”
Once the little bluebirds realized they had made a mistake, the kind-hearted great bluebird would soften his heart, turn to comfort them, and then give them all his money to go online.
But One Bird knew he had made a big mistake this time, so his attitude of admitting his mistake was much more sincere than before. He even made a promise against his will, “Senior, I want to work alongside you from now on!”
Upon hearing One Bird’s words, Qing Niao was overjoyed and looked at him happily. “Are you serious? You really want to work now?”
One Bird said against his will, “That’s right, I want to work now. I’m tired of being online, and I want to realize my life’s value through work, just like you. My other brothers and sisters feel the same way.”
One Bird found that the more he talked, the more moved Qing Niao became, and One Bird felt both guilty and happy.
He would never actually work.
This was merely a strategic retreat; presumably, the kind-hearted supernatural beast would forgive his mistake after hearing his sincere promise and give him more money to go online.
Just then, Qing NIao suddenly said, “Okay, then you can come and work at Aero U.”
One Bird: “???”
Other Birds: “???”
Amidst their bewildered gazes, Qing Niao introduced Luo Huai’an—who was standing next to him—to these younger colleagues. “This is my boss. The reason I was able to bail you out is because I advanced a year’s salary from her. Therefore, you will have to work for her for a year without pay.”
All the Birds: “???”
Luo Huai’an nodded to them, feeling very satisfied with them.
After these thirty birds transformed, they all looked quite good. Regardless of gender, they all had model-like figures with slender waists and long legs, and possessed the heroic and dashing temperament of the bird race.
She said to them, “Our cafeteria will be setting up a delivery service called Bluebird Delivery, and you will be the delivery staff. However, the cafeteria’s operating area is not large right now, so there aren’t many delivery orders to make. When you’re not working, you’ll be kitchen helpers. Can you accept this arrangement?”
As Luo Huai’an spoke, she became increasingly happy and filled with anticipation for the future.
With the arrival of these thirty bluebirds, the number of cafeteria staff has doubled, and the scope of business could likely be expanded even further, with the off-campus market also being put on the agenda.
Luo Huai’an ignored the birds’ bewildered expressions and turned to Captain Zhang, explaining her envisioned business empire. “Captain Zhang, I want these birds to deliver food for me. They are bird supernatural beasts that could fly, and using them as ordinary delivery workers would be a waste. I’d like to request that they be able to fly invisibly to deliver food, and then transform back into their original forms upon arrival, so as not to disturb the public. What do you think?”
Captain Zhang: “…” This master often had ‘ingenious ideas’.
Captain Zhang reluctantly reported the matter to his superiors, who, after discussing it, granted Luo Huai’an’s request.
Luo Huai’an then happily returned to the Bluebird Clan, her tone full of excitement. “The matter is settled, let’s go make more money!”
All the little birds: “…”

T/N: Technically, the bluebirds are ‘surnamed’ Niao—but that just means ‘bird’. Same way the wenyao are ‘surnamed’ Yu but it means ‘fish’. I kept them as Bird and Fish to keep the absurdity of it.
In modern days, while they could both be surnames, they are very rare.
