[ILivestreamDivination] Chapter 53.6 — What A Messed Up Family

When Lin Weiyu said it was the eldest son who reported his father to the police, she thought that An Rugu would be as surprised as she was when she first heard this bit of news—she never expected that An Rugu would be so calm. Her expression didn’t even change.

Lin Weiyu couldn’t help but smile; she almost forgot that Miss An was really good at divining things—she must have known about this for a long time.

Thinking of this, she felt a little emotional, “I heard that Wu De also has a younger son. It’s a pity that he has such a man for a father.”

Su Lai next to her felt the same emotion, “I heard that this other son is still very young. His father has been sentenced to death, and his brother was the one who reported his father. This family is too chaotic.”

When An Rugu heard this, she paused, then put down the tea cup she was holding, and her eyes suddenly flashed, “Wu De’s youngest son is not actually Wu De’s son.”

Lin Weiyu and Su Lai: “???”

“Then whose son is he?”

“Wu De’s wife had someone outside?”

A faint smile appeared on An Rugu’s face, “It was someone outside, but it was not someone outside. Wu De’s wife never liked him, so she fell in love with his eldest son and gave birth to a boy.”

Lin Weiyu and Su Lai: “???”

An Rugu didn’t say who the boy was, but they all understood that besides Wu De’s youngest son, who else could it be?

The younger son Wu De held in his palm turned out to be the son of his eldest son—his own grandson.

This… what a messed up family.

Lin Weiyu’s almond-shaped eyes widened, “His eldest son found the evidence against him and reported him. He should be hated by his son very much. Could it be that the son deliberately cuckolded his father and pursued his own stepmother?”

This eldest son was too scheming!

An Rugu shook her head gently, “I don’t know what it was like in the beginning, but judging from their peach blossoms, the two of them like each other very much now.”

Lin Weiyu and Su Lai: “…”

The two of them were still dazed with these revelations when they left.

After a while, Lin Weiyu came back in a hurry, “I almost forgot to tell you that it took many days but the ghost in the ever-burning lamp has lifted most of the curse from the items in Prince Wei’s tomb. We told her that she can stay in the Special Administration Bureau or she could also move on and go to the Underworld.

“But she… wanted to go to you. “

An Rugu: “?”

She was a little surprised, “She doesn’t intend to go to the Underworld?”

Lin Weiyu sighed a little, “Princess Wei said that for now she wanted to see what life in the future was like, and she didn’t want to go to the Underworld so soon. Can you host her here?”

“What does your superior say?”

“He agrees. Even the tomb robbers who dug her tomb were not really harmed by her—the tomb robbers actually passed out because of the curse on the tomb objects. We estimate that her risk is relatively low.

“Besides, she worked hard to lift the curse from the tomb objects. After she removed the curse, this was equivalent to donating all her property to the country amounting to billions. We naturally want to do our best to respect her wishes.”

In fact, it didn’t matter much to An Rugu. She was already raising dozens of ghosts, and raising one more would make no difference.

So she nodded gently, “Okay.”

“Then when all the curses on the tomb objects have been removed, I will send her over to you.”

Time flew by quickly, and the next day was the time for the tenth livestream.

An Rugu prepared the livestream equipment early and glanced at the interface. The destined person <Violet> from the last livestream sent her a private message.

[Thank you, Master. I told him your message, and he said he would follow your advice well. But can I ask, why should he seek to be exempted from punishment? He didn’t tell me.]

It seemed that the boyfriend of the destined guest did not tell the truth about his contract with the judge of the Underworld, so <Violet> did not know that her boyfriend’s life had been so rough and that he would go to Knives Mountain Hell after death.

An Rugu then replied: [“It’s good that he knows. As for why he must work hard to be exempted from punishment, he will naturally tell you when he wants to say it.”]

If he didn’t want to let <Violet> know, then she—an outsider—could only respect his wishes.

After sending this message, An Rugu started the livestream and opened the lottery.

As soon as the livestream channel opened, tens of thousands of people who had been squatting in the livestream channel all poured in. Two minutes after the livestream opened, its popularity has reached five million, and the number was still growing like crazy.

The comments barrage in the livestream channel flowed like the tide.

[The missing person returns!]

[I thought you were hiding in your home and not doing livestreams anymore. I know where you live!]

[Nonsense, the host was not hiding at home, the host and I went ghost hunting together.]

[What are you talking about, the reason why the host has been so relaxed was because she and I are moving together.]

[Hahahahahahaha, you guys have so many dramas.]

[I clicked on the lottery, please God, please don’t let me win!]

[This girl is willing to trade thirty pounds of fat on her body for not winning the lottery today.]

An Rugu: “…”

Happy if they don’t win the prize, unhappy if they do.

Her livestream channel was probably the only one in the entire network that was so special.

After a while, the ten minutes passed, and the popularity of the livestream channel reached a stable level of more than 26 million. Three pre-destined people were announced by the lottery system.

[So happy, I didn’t win! Welcome to the first unlucky guy!]

[Welcome to the first great grievance!]

T/N: Not sure why An Rugu was so accepting of the ‘not affair’ between the eldest son and his stepmother—she usually draws clear lines against cheating in a relationship 🤷‍♀️ I edited it. The better wording is ‘someone from outside’. The man is ‘outside’ the marriage but not ‘outside’ the family. My bad.

  1. thanks for the chapter!

Maybe the father somehow forced the “mother” to be with him, and as it was against her wishes – her going to the son or accepting the son negates the “cheating = bad”? Maybe, as others have said it, she had been with the son already up till the father somehow made her his wife.

I was re-reading this and understood what she meant. It’s ‘someone from outside’ who’s not really ‘from outside’. My bad 🙏

  2. she did say it’s an affair and also not so maybe the stepmother and eldest son were actually lovers but the father married the stepmother because he also coveted her

  3. maybe because the one got cheated is a real villain that’s why she (an rugu) though he deserve it? Thx for the chapter
