[MarriageFirstLoveLater] Chapter 39.2 — Schedule the Wedding

Less than an hour later, Qin Moling and Jian Hang’s car drove into the yard.

Shen Jingyun locked the tablet screen. She sent all the photos to Qin Moling’s email and asked them to just look at them slowly when they get home. The two of them can discuss how to select which photos to include in the album.

Even if they looked at them here now, it wouldn’t be surprising if they wanted to watch it again later.

Jian Hang brought two bouquets of flowers with her: one for her mother-in-law and the other for grandmother.

Shen Jingyun put down the flowers and invited Jian Hang with a faint smile, “Let’s go upstairs to try on some clothes. I went to Fashion Week last month and watched a few ready-to-wear shows. There were some nice dresses. I bought them for you, come and see if you like them.”

She knew Jian Hang’s measurements, having gotten them before when they were ordering the wedding dresses.

Qin Xing’s birthday was coming soon. Qin Xing loved to play and was friends with everyone, so there would definitely be a lot of people attending that day.

For such occasions, a dress from the latest season was essential.

Mother-in-law and daughter-in-law went upstairs to try on clothes, leaving Qin Moling and grandma in the living room.

Qin Moling peeled an apple for his grandmother, “Grandma, thank you.”

Last time on the phone, he asked his grandmother to buy a few more dresses for Jian Hang. His grandmother took it to heart and asked his mother to help buy them.

“We didn’t buy too many, just bought a few pieces for emergency use.” Old Madam Qin repeated the same thing, “Let Xiao Hang choose the clothes and dresses she wants to wear on a daily basis. What your mother and I think are good-looking may not be what she likes. Everyone has different tastes.”

Qin Moling nodded, “When I have time, I will go shopping with her.”

Old Madam Qin struck while the iron was hot, “You and Xiao Hang have already taken wedding photos, why don’t you set a date for the wedding.”

She knew her grandson was rebellious, but she has mastered his psychology so she took a step back in order to advance. “I understand that you want to wait until you are more familiar with each other before doing it. Your mother and I support this, and Xiao Hang’s parents also said that they respect your ideas. But do you know what outsiders are saying about Xiao Hang behind her back?”

She didn’t actually know what was being said specifically.

But it certainly didn’t sound good.

“You don’t have to have just one wedding. You can have as many as you want as long as you’re happy. You can deal with your relatives and friends at home first. When your relationship is better, you can invite your friends to hold another wedding on an island abroad. We won’t go then. You young people can enjoy yourselves.”

There was a long silence in the living room.

Qin Moling kept peeling the apple in silence; he cut it into cubes and handed the fork to his grandmother.

He finally spoke, “Let’s discuss when to hold the wedding.”

Old Madam Qin breathed a secret sigh of relief, “Then your mother and I will go to Xiao Hang’s parents to discuss it tomorrow.”

Because she was in a good mood, she couldn’t help but tease Qin Moling, “Because you coaxed Jian Hang to give you her steamed dumplings when you were kids, you have to give her more now.”

Qin Moling: “…”

He was really speechless.

He glanced at the stairs; luckily, Jian Hang hasn’t come down yet.

“Grandma, Jian Hang doesn’t even remember this, so don’t mention it.”

“Okay, okay,” Old Madam Qin agreed, giving her grandson face.

… …

Shen Jingyun bought a total of four dresses for Jian Hang, two of which were suitable for formal occasions and two for daily wear at work.

Each dress had a perfect waist.

They perfectly set off her figure, exquisite and well-proportioned.

… …

After dinner, Old Madam Qin urged them to go back.

Qin Moling carried the four shopping bags and put them in the trunk.

He thought his mother would buy at least a dozen pieces—he didn’t expect her to buy only four.

These four pieces were just to wear four times.

On the way back to the villa, Jian Hang received a call from Pang Linbin.

Pang Linbin held an impromptu board meeting in the morning. It just ended.

He went straight to the point, “The new person in charge of the China branch has been appointed. You will be able to hand over your work in the next two days. He will personally go to Wanyue Group to introduce himself.”

Jian Hang didn’t expect it to be so fast, “Who was appointed?”

Pang Linbin kept it a secret, “You know him.”

This was as good as saying nothing. Even if she had never personally dealt with every capable person in the industry, she had heard of or knew all of them.

Jian Hang guessed the names of several people, but none of them were correct.

Based on her understanding of Pang Linbin, he would never waste time on such meaningless speculation. Since he asked her to guess, it must be someone she would not expect.

She thought of a name—but felt it was impossible.

“Is it Tan Feng?” Jian Hang still said this impossible thing.

Pang Linbin smiled and sighed in satisfaction, “Well, it hasn’t been easy to dig him out. Tan Feng’s appointment is now official, so you should start preparing to hand over matters to him.”

“Okay, thank you, Mr. Pang.”

Her resignation came six months earlier than expected, which should have been a happy thing, but now that the official notice was given, Jian Hang felt a little lost.

After the call ended, Qin Moling asked her, “What’s wrong?”

“Tan Feng is joining Yinlin.” As she spoke, Jian Hang was already dialing Tan Feng’s number.

Tan Feng knew why she was calling him, “Did Pang Linbin tell you?”

“Yeah.” Jian Hang still couldn’t believe it. “You’re going to Yinlin to take over my job. This is a waste of your talent. People generally want to move up. There’s no one like you who would do this.”

His former employer’s global strength far exceeded that of Yinlin Capital.

“Don’t underestimate yourself,” Tan Feng said. “In terms of ability alone, I am not much better than you. I just entered this circle a few years earlier than you and have more experience than you.”

Although Yinlin Capital was not as good as his former employer, it was also a leading institution in the investment circle.

“I never thought you would come to Yinlin,” Jian Hang said, still in a daze.

Tan Feng poked fun at himself, “The money offered by Old Pang is impressive, and he also made other promises. Who can go against money?”

After he returned to China, it would be more convenient for him to take care of his parents. There were always gains and losses.

And if he took over her job, she could leave Yinlin early. If she continued to endure in this job, her body would not be able to bear it.
