Qin Moling turned his head to look at her, “Let’s go back to China the day after tomorrow.”
“Don’t you mean tomorrow?”
“The return ticket has been changed.” He had asked Secretary Gao to change their tickets. “I have booked a table for tomorrow night.”
Jian Hang looked at him, “Stay just for a meal?”
“Yeah, tomorrow night I will make up for the dinner I owed you back in April.”
He didn’t say a word about the fact that when she went to dinner with Tan Feng yesterday, all his preparations had been in vain.
Jian Hang told him in advance, “I can’t drink.”
“It’s okay, I’ll drink and you can just have water.” Qin Moling asked, “When will the project in Suzhou end?”
“It’s still in early stages.”
The earliest was the end of the year.
If things didn’t go well, it may not be finished until April or May next year.
Jian Hang has been thinking about resigning and changing careers during this time. She needed a long vacation to recuperate.
Money was important.
Life was more important.
She was still considering where to go once she changed her career path.
She wanted to find a higher platform to challenge herself and work hard to become a CEO in the future.
… …
The next day, Jian Hang slept until almost noon.
The biggest reason for this was not jetlag but that she was too tired.
Last night, once the two of them had lain down in bed with the lights turned off, Qin Moling asked for it again.

Before going out in the evening, Jian Hang put on a waist-cinching dress and quickly put on some light makeup.
As long as she didn’t wear black and didn’t look at people with cold eyes, she would always have a faintly feminine temperament.
This was Qin Moling’s feeling.
Seeing her finish dolling herself up and coming out of the bathroom, Qin Moling stood up. Her watch was on the bedside table, so he walked over and picked it up.
Jian Hang stretched out her hand, asking for her watch.
Qin Moling didn’t give it to her. Instead, he himself put the watch on her wrist and gently buckled it.
Jian Hang was flattered.
Qin Moling ignored her surprised look and called the restaurant owner to say that they would be there in five minutes.
Jian Hang had heard about this restaurant. The owner’s cooking skills was quite famous in this town, and many tourists came here to try it.
The restaurant was not big, only holding eight tables.
Qin Moling booked an open-air dining table with a panoramic view. In front of them lay the sea and half of this scenic town.
The crescent moon was in the sky, the sea breeze was slight and gentle, and there was the sound of violin playing not far away.
Jian Hang held her chin in her hands, immersed in the melodious sound of the stringed instrument.
The restaurant owner came out himself to serve the food in person as a courtesy to Qin Moling.
The restaurant owner first said ‘hello’ to Qin Moling. Jian Hang could tell from their conversation that the smiling, middle-aged man in chef’s uniform was the owner of this restaurant.
Qin Moling briefly introduced them.
At first, the restaurant owner was not sure whether Jian Hang could communicate in English without barriers, so he did not mention that the ingredients had been especially flown in for their dinner. After a few exchanges, Jian Hang’s pronunciation reassured him, and he became more lively and introduced the dish on the table, explaining that ingredients were flown in from three countries on the same day just to make this.
This was just one of the dishes, and it used ingredients imported from three different countries. Jian Hang said, “I really must recommend it to my friends to come and taste this.”
The boss kept shaking his head, “No, no. Our restaurant can’t possibly fly in the freshest ingredients from abroad on the same day every time. This is all thanks to your husband.”
The boss had to go back to the kitchen and wished them a happy meal before leaving.
The freshest vegetables that Jian Hang has ever eaten were the lettuce brought back by her grandparents from their relatives’ vegetable gardens in the suburbs. She was still a child then but she remembered that they were washed and used to wrap the jianbing for her to eat.
No pollution, all-natural greens.
Today she enjoyed such natural, ecological ingredients again.
Jian Hang took a bite and wondered whether it was because the restaurant owner was good at cooking or because the ingredients were fresh. It was truly a gourmet feast.
It took almost two hours to eat this splendid meal, and every dish was to her taste.
Even with a substantive relationship, they talked less than they did before.
Jian Hang thought about all the things that happened during their intimacy and felt that it was good to be silent now. At least if she didn’t speak, she wouldn’t be embarrassed.
The violin continued playing, the music was uninterrupted, and there was no dull moment even when they didn’t chat together.
Jian Hang clinked glasses with him, hers containing plain water, “It’s almost as good as your cooking.”
Qin Moling looked at her for a few seconds, wondering how his cooking skills could catch up with the chef of this restaurant.
She obviously said that because she wanted to eat food that he cooked himself.
So he promised, “I’ll cook some for you when we get home.”
