[WrongThenWrong] Chapter 46.2 — Day 16 : I’ve Now Got Someone In My Heart

“Today…” Cheng Liu racked her brains and was about to say words of love to Ji Chaozhou, but the whole villa was suddenly plunged into darkness.

Ji Chaozhou turned on his phone’s flashlight and placed it on the coffee table; it barely illuminated the living room with its weak light.

“Is there a power outage?” Cheng Liu stood up and turned on the flashlight on her phone as well, “Let me take a look.”

Ji Chaozhou followed her, accompanying her silently.

Cheng Liu just walked out of the living room and before reaching the front courtyard, she saw the darkness outside and stopped. “The street lights are also gone, there should be a power outage.”

She turned to Ji Chaozhou beside her, “Let’s go back first.”

“I didn’t receive notice about this.” Although Ji Chaozhou didn’t check his cell phone often, he knew he hadn’t received a text message from the electricity bureau about today’s power outage.

“The weather has suddenly become hot, and power peaks may cause power outages due to excessive load.” Cheng Liu held the phone’s flashlight in one hand and Ji Chaozhou’s wrist with the other. “Someone should repair it soon.”

Ji Chaozhou fell into step behind her, looked down at his wrist, and finally took it out of her clasping hand, pretending not to notice.

The two walked one behind the other, but within just a few steps, neither of them notice noticed that their hearts were beating almost in sync.

… …

“Still undergoing repairs.” Cheng Liu sat on the armchair and checked on her mobile phone, propping her chin up with one hand and sighing.

Two mobile phone flashlights were placed on the coffee table. The living room was brightly lit, but the air conditioning in the villa had turned off, and the heat from outside was beginning to creep in.

Cheng Liu felt very hot and her wet hair had dried.

On the contrary, Ji Chaozhou next to her didn’t seem to be affected by the temperature. He didn’t even have a drop of sweat.

“…The backyard is cooler.” Ji Chaozhou shone light to look at Cheng Liu. She seemed afraid of the heat.

Cheng Liu stood up immediately and said, “Then let’s sit in the backyard for a while.”

The two picked up their mobile phones and walked to the backyard. As soon as they stepped out, they felt the breeze blowing with a hint of coolness.

Cheng Liu simply sat by the swimming pool, put her feet in, turned around and waved to Ji Chaozhou, “It’s cold here.”

Ji Chaozhou paused, then walked to her side, sat down, and let the water soak his ankles.

The uppermost layer of the pool water was still a little warm, but the lower portion was cool.

Cheng Liu put her hands behind her and looked up at the night sky, “There are so many stars.”

The night sky was filled with stars, dreamy and beautiful.

Ji Chaozhou glanced up, then withdrew his gaze and turned to look at Cheng Liu beside him.

After the power outage, she seemed different from usual.

Cheng Liu looked at the night sky for a long time before turning her head to look at Ji Chaozhou. Smiling, she said, “I loved power outages back in high school. Every time there was a power outage, I would leave the classroom, look up at the night sky, look at the stars, and for that moment forget about the long road I had to take.”

Ji Chaozhou was startled. He remembered that the host of the program once praised Cheng Liu for working hard in a small place and finally rising up and starting a business from scratch.

He had experienced this before, when he suddenly realized there was something clearly hidden under her dazzling light.

“The night sky at that time was just as beautiful as now,” Cheng Liu said. Suddenly inspired, she looked at Ji Chaozhou seriously, “But the stars are different, do you know why?”

Ji Chaozhou had just seen through Cheng Liu’s hidden side and felt an inexplicable astringency pinching his heart. He shook his head and asked in a low voice, “Why?”

Cheng Liu smiled proudly, “Because I’ve now got someone in my heart.”

She was such a genius at talking about love!

Ji Chaozhou: “…”

Seeing that Cheng Liu still wanted to speak, Ji Chaozhou frowned and subconsciously covered her mouth with his hand to prevent her from spouting more such words.

“Huh?” The pride in Cheng Liu’s eyes hadn’t dissipated yet. She originally wanted to strike while the iron was hot and use this inspiration, but her mouth was covered by her beloved.

“Don’t talk.” The handsome young man beside her had an expressionless face.

Cheng Liu didn’t move. She stared at Ji Chaozhou, in her black eyes was unshakeable fascination.

Ji Chaozhou was struck by her gaze, and finally noticing his out of character behavior, he quickly retracted his hand but still could not look away.

The palm he put down felt hot, as if the soft touch of her lips was still there.

Ji Chaozhou unconsciously lowered his eyes to look at Cheng Liu’s lips. Her lips were a little pale. When he realized what he was looking at, he subconsciously looked into Cheng Liu’s eyes.

These two actions were almost like seduction.

Cheng Liu, who was already in a state of intoxication, was so fascinated by his gaze that she couldn’t help but slowly move forward to explore.

Ji Chaozhou placed his hand on the ground, and the pruned grass pricked in his palm, but it could not erase the soft touch he still felt.

He noticed Cheng Liu’s approach. His long eyelashes trembled, and he lowered his gaze to stop looking at her, as if he was trying to escape.

The distance between the two was getting closer and closer. Ji Chaozhou could already feel Cheng Liu’s breath. He even thought he could see her heartbeat—or maybe it was his own heartbeat.

Ji Chaozhou’s Adam’s apple moved up and down, but he didn’t back away.

The tip of Cheng Liu’s nose touched the tip of his nose first, a slightly cold touch. She even rubbed them lightly together. Ji Chaozhou couldn’t bear it and opened his eyes to look at Cheng Liu. He met her eyes with mixed feelings. He saw fascination and a slight smile.

Under the moonlight, the two of them were sitting by the clear blue water of the swimming pool. The two shadows cast in the water were getting closer and closer, almost intimate.
