[MarriageFirstLoveLater] Chapter 16.2 — Possessiveness

After hanging up the phone, Jian Hang placed the phone on the bedside table.

After getting the Wanyue Group project, she had one less thing to worry about.

Her parents didn’t know yet that she had fainted and was hospitalized, and she had no intention of telling them.

The nurse just told her that she was fine and would be kept under observation for one night. She should be discharged tomorrow, depending on the doctor’s arrangements.

The ward was too quiet, so she turned on the TV and tuned it to the music channel.

She didn’t know how much time passed before someone came into the ward again.

Jian Hang thought it was a nurse. When she saw the person, she was surprised, and her face reflected it, “How did you know I was in the hospital? When did you return to China?”

“I just came back the day before yesterday,” Tan Feng brought a bouquet of flowers and came to visit.

Jian Hang sat up straight and asked, “Who did you hear from that I was hospitalized?”

Tan Feng put the flowers on the bedside table and sat down on the chair next to the bed. “I called you this afternoon. The person who answered the phone was the building security guard who said you were waiting for an ambulance. He asked me if I was a member of your family.”

What a coincidence.

Tan Feng was still in a suburban county when she fainted. It rained today, and there was a serious traffic jam. It took him three hours to get back to the city.

He asked with concern, “Are you feeling better?”

“Much better. I’m tired. Nothing else is wrong.”

Jian Hang turned off the TV and asked him why he called her this afternoon.

“It’s nothing important. I wanted to invite you to dinner.” Tan Feng said with a smile, “It seems that the meal will have to be rescheduled.”

Jian Hang thought about it again, “You didn’t tell my dad that I was in the hospital, right?”

Tan Jie said, “No.”

He didn’t think much about it.

He was busy calling his friends and asking them to contact the doctor to see what was going on with Jian Hang.

“My friend called me back and said that you were admitted to the VIP ward. I thought Teacher Jian knew.”

It didn’t matter, as long as he didn’t tell her father.

Jian Hang breathed a sigh of relief.

“Did you return to China this time—” to take an annual leave or to discuss projects?

“I didn’t expect you to—” have a flash marriage.

The two spoke at the same time.

The voices overlapped, but you could guess what the other person was going to say.

Tan Feng visited Teacher Jian first when he came back this time. He learned from Teacher Jian that Jian Hang and Qin Moling received their marriage certificates last month.

He invited her to dinner, first it was to talk about his resignation from his old employer, and second was to congratulate her on entering another stage of her life.

Tan Feng said, “When you are discharged from the hospital, find time to talk to me. No rush.” He still couldn’t believe it. “I didn’t expect you to have a flash marriage.”

And with the eldest son of the Qin family no less.

“When will the wedding be held?” Tan Feng asked.

The wedding date has not been decided. The Qin family’s grandparents want the wedding to be held as soon as possible. She didn’t know what Qin Moling intended.

So Jian Hang was unsure, “It should be this year.”

Tan Feng said, “Don’t forget to send me an invitation.”

Jian Hang smiled, “Don’t worry, I will be the first to tell you when the time comes. Don’t even think about saving money.”

While they were chatting, voices came from outside the door.

“If you need anything, just ring the bell.”

“Okay, thank you.”

Jian Hang recognized that the female voice was a nurse, and the other clear and deep voice came from Qin Moling. After not seeing him for two weeks, she was actually looking forward to seeing him.

She probably wanted to eat the congee he cooked because she was sick.

Then the door opened, and a tall figure came in.

Jian Hang looked at Qin Moling. He didn’t look at her—his eyes fell on Tan Feng.

Tan Feng had a certain influence in the venture capital circle. He was recognized as a handsome guy. He has outstanding temperament, ability, and means. Qin Moling knew him.

He nodded slightly to Tan Feng and unbuttoned his suit with one hand as he walked.

Tan Feng stood up, and when Qin Moling approached, they both extended their hands at the same time and exchanged a few perfunctory greetings.

Qin Moling greeted, “Have a seat.”

He took off his suit jacket, glanced at Jian Hang, raised his hand, and threw the suit on the bed.

The collar of his suit was placed on the quilt covering by Jian Hang, and the hem hung over the edge of the bed.

Jian Hang looked at the black suit jacket. There was a closet in the room and a sofa next to it. He could have put it anywhere; why on her quilt?

Tan Feng could tell at a glance that this was caused by the man’s possessiveness. Qin Moling’s action of throwing his suit on Jian Hang’s bed just now was subconscious, and the subconscious action was the best explanation of something: he didn’t like other men getting too close to Jian Hang, so he used his suit to create an invisible distance between the two.

Qin Moling unbuttoned his shirt sleeves, rolled them up a few times, opened the tea cabinet, and asked for Tan Feng’s opinion, “Mr. Tan, would you like tea or coffee?”

Tan Feng didn’t plan to stay any longer, “Thank you, I won’t disturb you anymore, I have something else to do.”

He told Jian Hang to take a rest and said goodbye.

Qin Moling still had the demeanor he should have and sent him to the door of the ward.

When the door closed, you could hear a pin drop in the room.

Qin Moling walked to the end of the hospital bed and stood there, “The nurse said you didn’t have dinner yet, so I asked the auntie to make congee and bring it to you later.”

After that, he went to make coffee.

Jian Hang actually wanted to eat the congee that he cooked.

Qin Moling was making coffee with his back to her and said, “If you have anything you need tonight, just ask the nurse.”

Jian Hang understood what he meant: he had no time and would not stay in the ward to accompany her tonight.

Fittingly, as soon as he finished saying that, his suit slid off the edge of the bed and fell to the floor.

Qin Moling came over slowly, bent down to pick up the suit on the ground, didn’t even bother to shake it loose, took the suit collar and threw it directly on the chair next to the bed.

The suit jacket was crumpled into a ball.

Jian Hang could tell that he didn’t plan to use this jacket again. The clothes that fell on the floor of the hospital would be impossible for a mysophobic person like him to wear again.

Qin Moling stood beside the bed, towered above her, and deigned to ask, “Why are you angry?”

Jian Hang raised her head, “Why am I angry? Do you think I deliberately kicked off your suit?”

The two hadn’t seen each other for more than ten days, and she had forced herself into the hospital again. Qin Moling was a little emotional.

He couldn’t tell exactly why.

Jian Hang explained why the suit fell to the ground, “You didn’t put it away properly and it slipped down by itself.”

So he didn’t want to stay with her; why should she be angry?

“The doctor said you can’t keep up with your nutrition. I‘ve asked Aunt Geng to help you recuperate once you get discharged from the hospital.” Qin Moling looked into her eyes and asked her, “When will you move to the villa?”

Finally the subject of moving in came up.

  1. Oh. At least he asked out loud now. So that now she might realize she’s expected to cohabit with him and that he’s relatively amenable to it.

  2. My woman <pounds chest> 😆

    1. OMG Imagining it is sooooo funny. Especially after so many gorilla meme videos lol
