[MarriageFirstLoveLater] Chapter 6.2 — Go To Her Office

Three words popped into the receptionist’s mind: Oh my god!

Jian Hang’s secretary was almost trotting in her rush to come over when she saw Qin Moling. “Mr. Qin, why didn’t you call? I would have gone downstairs to pick you up.”

Qin Moling nodded slightly and said, “You are busy, I will just go there myself.”

The secretary still led him to the door of Jian Hang’s office. She opened the door and did not go in to disturb them.

Jian Hang was playing games. She often played games to relax during her lunch break.

She just didn’t expect this plastic husband of hers to pick up the wallet himself. With a game in her hands and her husband before her—well, the game was obviously more important.

“Have a seat,” she greeted him.

Qin Moling put the coffee on her desk and sat down on the chair in front of the desk.

He leaned back, crossed his legs naturally, and leaned on the back of the chair to look at her. Jian Hang had her earphones plugged in, her phone held horizontally with her two thumbs moving constantly.

If the person in front of him was Qin Xing, Qin Moling would have zero doubt that Qin Xing was playing games. But since it was Jian Hang, he didn’t have the slightest suspicion that she was too. He thought she was having a video conference and it was inconvenient for her to speak while he was next to her so she changed to text typing.

Qin Moling simply didn’t connect Jian Hang with playing online games at all. She only knew how to make money—how could she waste time on boring things like playing online games?

He came here just to get his wallet, and it was not convenient for her now. Qin Moling didn’t plan to stay for a long time. “Where is the wallet?”

Jian Hang was distracted by Qin Moling after all. She was knocked down by the opponent while she wasn’t paying attention.

“Little Olive, what’s wrong with you?!” Lin Xiao’s incredible question came from the earphones.

Jian Hang: [Boss is here.]

Lin Xiao’s temper suddenly disappeared, and he completely empathized with her. “I understand your feelings very well. My boss, the she-devil, is just like your boss. She often acts like a terror. She comes to me at any time and often catches me off guard. I can’t even take a rest during my lunch break. Just go be busy—I’ll give you a skin later to comfort your injured little heart.”

Jian Hang: “…”

She was Little Olive, and she was also the she-devil and terror in Lin Xiao’s mouth.

[Remember the team rules, or I won’t play with you next time] she sent.

“Okay, okay.”

The team rules were: they were not allowed to complain about anything in real life, and they were especially not allowed to mention their friends, boss, or family.

This rule seemed to be a team rule, but it was actually tailor-made for Lin Xiao.

Four years ago, she didn’t know who Lin Xiao was. At that time, she was at Yinlin’s headquarters abroad. Lin Xiao hadn’t graduated from university yet. Although they had time differences, they often met each other online. Later, Lin Xiao introduced Qin Xing to her and they got along well.

She didn’t know Qin Moling at that time, so she also didn’t know who Qin Xing was.

The three of them often teamed up together and formed an iron triangle.

Two years ago, she returned to China and Lin Xiao entered Yinlin’s Beijing branch. From his voice, Jian Hang easily confirmed that the ‘Lin Xiao’ in the game was the same as her subordinate, with the same first name and same surname.

She knew he was Lin Xiao, but Lin Xiao didn’t know that she was ‘Little Olive’, which was unfair to him.

She didn’t want to hear Lin Xiao complaining about his boss behind her back. If Lin Xiao ever found out who she was in the future, he would probably want to dig a hole and throw himself in it.

So she put a team rule in place that they were not allowed to talk about things in their real life in the game.

Jian Hang quit the game, took off her headphones, and said calmly to Qin Moling, “Sorry, I was just in a meeting.”

Qin Moling couldn’t see the screen of her mobile phone from where he was sitting and was convinced.

“My wallet,” he said again.

Jian Hang took it from her bag and handed it to him. She got up and went to pour him water. After walking a few steps, she turned back and asked him, “Would you like tea?”

“Water is good.”

Qin Moling opened his wallet and looked at it. He was not interested in the cards. He couldn’t remember the exact number of cards in it. He glanced at the two-inch ID photo.

The ID photo was taken when he was in the first grade of primary school. Two months ago, his mother found this old photo of him from out of who knows where and stuffed it in his wallet.

He was too young in this photo, and compared to now, he looked completely different.

Jian Hang poured water, and he closed his wallet.

“Is there anything missing?” she asked habitually.

Jian Hang didn’t actually open his wallet. She simply picked it up from the passenger seat and put it directly into her bag. She didn’t know what was inside.

Qin Moling replied with another question, “Did you take any of my things?”

“You think I would take your stuff?”

“Then there’s nothing to talk about.”

Jian Hang gave him the glass of water. But she then realized that he was dissatisfied with what she just asked: ‘Is there anything missing?1

And rightly so.

Just let him answer like this.

Jian Hang sat back, picked up the coffee he bought for her, and opened the lid of the cup. The aroma filled her nose. It was the coffee she liked to drink. She glanced at Qin Moling. When he was silent, his whole person seemed cold.

Her eyes slid past his face and landed on the computer screen. She clicked the mouse twice with her fingers, pretending to be busy working.

He drank water quietly, and she drank coffee silently.

Jian Hang thought that he would only take a few sips to be polite. She had already given him his wallet, and with his character, he wouldn’t stay any longer. But until she was halfway through her coffee, he had shown no intention of leaving.

Qin Moling suddenly raised his head, “When will you go to the villa to have a look?”

Jian Hang began to suspect that he was forgetful. She clearly said before that she wouldn’t look at it anymore, but she had to say it again, “As long as it looks suitable to you, I don’t mind the furniture.”

Besides, it was impossible for the furniture that the Qin family chose to be lacking in anything. Everything that needed to be there would surely be there, all carefully designed by professional designers.

She didn’t sound angry and was talking to him calmly. Since she had no objection, then the new home did not need to be modified, and they could move in directly.

So Qin Moling said, “I’ll move there over the weekend.”

Jian Hang nodded, indicating that she heard. It was impossible for her to take the initiative and say that she, too, would move there this weekend, so she waited for Qin Moling to ask her when she would move.

However, two minutes passed and he still had nothing to say.

  1. Is it just me, or is it awkward in here?

Boy, I wonder how and why they got together and got married. I mean, it can fend off more slander about her being a seductress, but that came up after the decision and such, so why did they get married?

    1. I don’t understand either. Why? Both of them are so awkward and dry to each other so why marrying. It doesn’t look like a marriage of convenience so why isn’t this guy treating her like a wife? Let’s say he married because his family pressured her why did she married him? She is always comparing herself with him so why bother marrying him girl and don’t bring first chapter slander incident here. She had already decided to marry him before.

Author should have started story from their blind date not marriage so that we can understand it better
