[MarriageFirstLoveLater] Chapter 1.2 — Getting A Marriage Certificate

Someone had said something in the group that Jian Hang was about to marry the eldest son of the Qin family.

The Qin family was one of the most powerful families in the aristocratic circle, and it was a class that Jian Hang could not reach even if she stepped on a ladder.

As soon as the news came out, it caused quite an uproar.

The various small chat groups were going crazy with their melons, each and everyone speculating: it was exposed that Jian Hang had interfered in other people’s marriage and ruined Gao Yu’s family, and the wife herself had personally come out to tear her apart. Could she and Qin Moling still get married?

Jian Hang probably felt regretful now. If she had known earlier that she could marry into the Qin family, she would not have hooked up with Gao Yu, who was more than ten years her senior.

Would the Qin family continue this marriage after learning what happened today?

Eighty percent chance it would fall through.

But no matter how other people in the company wanted to talk about it or gloat about it, they couldn’t. Jian Hang had personally led their branch for more than two years and deserved all the credit due to her hard work.

Before the meeting started, they tried to talk as they normally would.

“Boss, your makeup looks really good today.” The speaker was a young financial analyst. “Boss, please give me the lipstick shade.”

As she said that, she had already picked up her phone and was about to note it down.

Not only the analyst, but the rest of the team also realized that Jian Hang was more beautiful today, and her makeup and hairstyle were more refined than usual.

They all exclaimed in unison, the boss was the boss after all. If any of them had the spouse of their lover knock on their door, throw water on them, and scold them in the face, who would not break down immediately? Who would want to see other people at this time?

Not to mention hold a meeting.

However, Jian Hang remained calm and told the analyst what color lipstick she was wearing as if nothing had happened.

Two minutes had passed since the meeting was supposed to start. Jian Hang glanced at the people around the conference table and motioned to her secretary to close the conference room door.

“Hey! Hey, don’t lock me out.” Lin Xiao slipped in sideways, coffee in his hand.

He just went downstairs to buy coffee and chatted with the pretty girl at the cashier for a while. He didn’t get the timing right and was a few minutes late.

Lin Xiao was a third-generation playboy and a rebellious person. After graduating from college, he wandered around for a year and suddenly wanted to experience the glory of being a venture capitalist. His misguided father thought that he was going from bad to good, so he found someone to plug his son into Yinlin Capital.

Others went to work to get wages, but he came to the company to work with money. Lin Xiao knew nothing, but the connections and resources his family gave him was more than enough.

It took Jian Hang two years to train him into submission.

Lin Xiao was used to seeing Jian Hang’s beautiful face everyday, but he was still surprised when he saw her today. He said with a smile, “I thought some client hired a celebrity spokesperson.”

His level of flattery was unmatched by anyone, and Jian Hang has long been used to it, “I’ve received the flattery.

“Now enough with the nonsense. First, let’s report on the progress of the work at hand, and ask any questions you have.” She nodded her chin at Lin Xiao, “You go first.”

Lin Xiao: “…”

But what about his coffee?

The problems he had encountered were not ordinary. By the time he finished reporting, the coffee would have already gone cold.

Hot americano that has gone cold has no soul.

Jian Hang looked down at her notebook and knew what he was struggling with. “Don’t worry about your coffee. Just let your colleague next to you drink it for you.”

The conference room burst into laughter.

Lin Xiao was afraid that his colleagues would really snatch his coffee, so he quickly put it to his mouth and took a sip.

The colleague next to him laughed and scolded him.

Jian Hang suddenly raised her eyes; everyone lowered their heads, pretending to be looking at the computer, and the conference room fell silent in an instant.

“Boss.” Lin Xiao put down the coffee cup and saw Jian Hang still wrapped in her coat while indoors. His obsessive-compulsive disorder broke out, “I’m going to talk nonsense again, I have a hair dryer, do you want to use it now?”

Lin Xiao was the person who lived the most exquisite life in Yinlin Capital. No matter how busy he was, even if he worked overtime all night and was so tired that he couldn’t open his eyes anymore, he still had to squeeze in time to get a room in a nearby hotel, take a shower, put on clean clothes, and style his hair.

He also prepared a hair dryer for use in the office, just in case his nap would ruin his hairstyle one day, then he could save it in time.

He claimed that he was the face of Yinlin Capital and must not be disheveled at any time.

Jian Hang’s voice softened, “Thank you. I’ll borrow it from you after the meeting.” If she blew dry her wet blouse now, it would waste other people’s time.

The meeting ended after more than an hour.

After walking out of the conference room, Jian Hang habitually opened her mobile phone to read new messages. There were not many chat boxes she pinned on top and she saw one from the company’s big boss—Pang Linbin—at a glance.

Pang Linbin was her immediate boss. He usually sent her emails or made phone calls, but rarely sent her any messages.

Pang Linbin: [What’s going on?]

Attached was a screenshot of a video which showed Mrs. Gao being carried out by security guards.

He added: [Let’s not talk about the truth or falsehood of what Mrs. Gao said in the video. If you’ve let the video leak out, you are seriously derelict in your duty!]

Jian Hang couldn’t argue, no matter what, she was indeed derelict in her duty.

In fact, before Mrs. Gao left, she had already ordered her secretary to notify everyone that anyone who has recorded a video of Mrs. Gao making a scene in the office should delete it. The video was not allowed to be shared outside, otherwise they would bear the consequences.

But it got out anyway.

The boss was based abroad. It was two o’clock in the morning there, but the video was transmitted to him so quickly. The company never cared about their personal lives, but if the incident affected the company’s image, it could directly ruin her career.

Jian Hang didn’t explain, she just said: [My fault. I will minimize the negative impact and give you an explanation of the specific situation by tomorrow at the latest.]

Maybe she will have to give an explanation to the board of directors.

Pang Linbin: [Keep your mind calm. Those who are clean will be able to clean themselves.]

[Thank you, Mr. Pang.]

  1. Sheesh, she’s one cool customer. I’d be a seething mess.

    Thank you for the chapter.

Seems some people have some office beef with her and gosh the drama. Good thing her boss seems to be concerned for her as well though.

  2. thank you for the translation!!
