[MythicalBeastCafeteria] Chapter 15.1 — Pepper Pancakes II

Night fell, and the hour gradually approached 8 o’clock in the evening.

Luo Huai’an realized that it was time to get off work. She stopped making pepper pancakes and said to the freshmen who had just entered the Eighth Cafeteria, “Sorry, it’s time to get off work now. Come back tomorrow.”

The Eight Cafeteria had all been recommended to these freshmen by their classmates. They heard their classmates rave about the mung bean soup and pepper pancakes they’d bought, and they’d been itching to try them. But now, delayed by something, they’d missed out on the delicious treats.

But they couldn’t say much. After all, all the cafeterias in campus closed one by one after eight o’clock, and there were almost no food windows still open. Only the all-night convenience stores were still selling things.

They couldn’t help but feel a little frustrated. “So what time will the cafeteria open tomorrow? Will there still be mung bean soup and pepper pancakes tomorrow?”

The appearance of mung bean soup and pepper pancakes actually made up for the lack of breakfast menu in the Eighth Cafeteria. Luo Huai’an thought about it then decided to open for breakfast at 6 o’clock in the morning, just like the other cafeterias.

“We’ll open tomorrow at 6:00. We’ll have mung bean soup and pepper pancakes. Since it’s our first day today, we didn’t have many ingredients on hand. We’ll have more tomorrow, so don’t worry about running out. We’ll have plenty.”

The students breathed a sigh of relief and nodded in agreement.

They were about to turn around and leave, but Luo Huai’an called out to them.

Luo Huai’an pointed to the QR code in front of the food window and said, “One-on-one notifications are really inconvenient. Why don’t you join the Eighth Cafeteria WeChat group? We’ll announce what dishes will be served every day, and you can also raise any opinions you have in the group.”

Stores that have reached a certain maturity usually had their own communities. Although the traffic in the Eighth Cafeteria was not large enough, Luo Huai’an has already made preparations this early.

The incident with Big Fish that morning had given her a wake-up call. She was still inexperienced, and relying on word of mouth to promote her business was not only ineffective but might even lead to public disapproval. However, based on what she’d read online, building a community was a surefire way to go.

Whenever she released a new dish, she would tag everyone in the group to promote it. This was really convenient and also effective.

These students did not think there was anything wrong with this way of creating a group, so they scanned the QR code to join.

After they left, they checked their phones and found that the group already had over 200 members. They couldn’t help but marvel, “I didn’t expect so many people to join the group. Before, everyone said they wouldn’t come if it was haunted, but it turned out the body is still very honest.”

A freshman who was more knowledgeable said, “You have no idea how precious it is to have a cafeteria that actually serves good food when the food in all the other cafeterias are so bad. Foodies have no fear of mere ghosts!”

When everyone thought of the food in the other cafeterias, their faces turned greener and greener, and they all nodded, “Indeed, indeed.”

“Using the top-performing Seventh Cafeteria as a unit, there are probably more than 10,000 Seventh Cafeterias between the First Cafeteria and the Eighth Cafeteria.”

Although this community was just established, it had many active users and messages were posted one after another.

[When summer comes, my usual wish is for 60% of my body fluids to be watermelon juice, 30% lemonade, and the remaining 10% ice cola. But after drinking Suzhou-style mung bean soup, all I want is to replace all my body fluids with mung bean soup!]

[Boy, your pie chart is perfect.]

[Don’t you pity me because I’m a delicate flower? Please give me some pepper pancakes tomorrow.]

[Woman, this is my campus card, spend it as you please!]

[Hahaha, I’m dying of laughter. I really want to say too, but that boss is so beautiful she looks like she’s out of this world. How could your campus card possibly impress her?!]

Luo Huai’an, who was in front of the screen, saw this message and couldn’t help but think, ‘Actually…it’s possible.’

Luo Huai’an imagined herself surrounded by students’ campus cards. Her lips raised in a smile, and she sent a message in the group: [Don’t worry, everyone, there will be enough tomorrow.]

Because the group owner, Luo Huai’an, messaged in chat, the group became even more lively. Luo Huai’an chatted for a while. Then she locked up the cafeteria and took the wenyao back to Fragrant Mountain.

Although it wasn’t the first time the wenyao had ridden Luo Huai’an’s ‘flying breeze,’ they were still amazed, and their admiration for her only grew even stronger. With their powers, they could only fly invisibly for a kilometer or two at best. Yet, Luo Huai’an lead a group of wenyao back to Fragrant Mountain, covering several dozens of kilometers with ease.

After arriving at Fragrant Mountain, Luo Huai’an dropped them off. The Kitchen God was someone who enjoyed himself, and the villa he built was large and beautifully decorated. It was no less impressive than the single-family villas in the wealthy areas of the capital.

However, the wenyao did not enter the villa. Instead, they cheered, transformed into their fish shapes, and jumped directly into the ornamental lake next to the villa.

It wasn’t that Luo Huai’an was reluctant to let them live in the villa, but these fish didn’t like to keep their human form while sleeping. What they wanted was to turn into fish form and stay in the water.

Luo Huai’an then turned to look at Second Fish, who had not yet jumped into the lake, “You can play for a while and then plant some vegetables later.”

Second Fish didn’t resist much, instead accepting her advice with pleasure. Fragrant Mountain was rich in spiritual energy, a truly auspicious place. Spending more time here would actually improve one’s cultivation. The toil of growing vegetables was nothing compared to the opportunity to increase cultivation.

She sincerely thanked Luo Huai’an, “Thank you for your generosity, allowing us to enjoy such abundant spiritual energy.”

Luo Huai’an felt a little embarrassed by her praise. She was not as generous as they thought. The reason why she brought this group of wenyao and allowed them to live here was to get their harvest buff.
