[ILivestreamDivination] Chapter 7.1 — Five-Emperor Coins

Upon hearing what her mother said, Zhang Wen seemed to think of something. Her pupils shrank slightly, and her face darkened—so dark that she could drip ink. She immediately rang the doorbell despite the dissuasion of the audience in the livestream channel.

After a while, the door was opened, and the person who answered was an elegant-looking, middle-aged woman.

She was clearly a little surprised when she saw so many people standing outside her door. When she saw Zhang Wen’s mother from the corner of her eye, her expression immediately cleared up, and she greeted them affectionately, “Oh, you are Zhang Wu’s mother, right? How come you are here?”

Before her unexpected guests could answer, she had already stepped back inside the door, and said in a very enthusiastic tone, “Come in and have a cup of tea.”

Zhang Wen’s mother had no choice but to walk in and greeted the other party, “Xiao Sun’s mother, long time no see.”

They were both very active in their son’s class group, and they have a good relationship. Although they haven’t met each other in person very often, they know each other’s address and appearance through various information in WeChat Moments, and they can be considered good friends.

This auntie hadn’t known about Zhang Wu’s disappearance, and she became very anxious when she heard about it. “Then hurry up and call the police.”

“We already called the police, and the police are looking for him now,” Zhang Wu’s mother said.

Seeing their family looking distressed, the auntie tried to console them, “You have posted the missing person notice, right? By the way, what are you all doing here? Are you here to ask me for help? You really came to the right person, and I am very willing. I have some followers on Tik-Tok—I will forward the matter.”

Zhang Wu’s mother glanced at her daughter, who was looking down at her phone, and said with no little amount of confusion, “To tell you the truth, my daughter found a fortune teller online, and then she headed here, saying that she could find Zhang Wu.”

The fact that her daughter found her son’s classmate’s house suddenly was quite mysterious, and it made her mental balance shift slightly.

“Ah?” The aunt opened her eyes wide. “There is no one in my house. I just got home. There are only me and my son at home. How could your son be at my house?”

When Zhang Wu’s mother heard what the other mother said, the balance in her heart immediately returned, and she changed the subject, caught between embarrassment. “Ah, is that so? Then we will leave right away. Let me just say, it’s really not advisable to listen to superstition!”

However, at this moment, Zhang Wen said, “Auntie, which one is your son’s room?”

Auntie pointed to the room opposite the living room. “That one.”

Zhang Wu’s mother felt embarrassed and thought it was useless. She was about to step forward to stop Zhang Wen but Zhang Wen was quicker.

Zhang Wen went straight to the boy’s bedroom door, twisted the door handle, and when the door opened in response: two children came into view sitting inside the room.

They sat in front of the computer, their backs to the door. The computer screen could be seen displaying the game [Forest Ice Fire Man]1, and the boys’ heads moved in time with the characters.

Zhang Wu’s voice was anxious, “This step is not like this, you have to jump on this square—oops, you melted. See, it’s game over, now we have to do it all over again.”

“I’m sorry,” the little boy next to him said, sounding equal measure frustrated and guilty.

The two were so engrossed in playing that they didn’t hear the sound of the door opening. Zhang Wu wanted to guide his teammate again, but his shoulder was suddenly held in a strong grip.

He thought it was his classmate who grabbed him, so he turned sideways and shook the hand off. “Can you concentrate on playing the game? I sneaked out while my sister wasn’t paying attention just to get through level 30. If we don’t pass, all this would be wasted.”

Zhang Wu thought that his classmate would concentrate immediately, but the character his teammate was controlling remained motionless on the screen. He became increasingly impatient and turned—only to find that his friend was gone.

The person standing in his friend’s place looked familiar. In fact, very similar to his sister.

She was staring at him. If her eyes could shoot light rays, his face might be scorched!

Zhang Wu turned his head and saw his classmate looking behind them in horror. And standing outside the door was his classmate’s mother and… his own parents.

Seeing this scene, the audience in the live broadcast room immediately understood.

[F*ck! I was very curious before, why the host dared to let the predestined guest catch the traffickers alone, it turned out that there were no traffickers.]

[As the saying goes, if you don’t die, you won’t die…]

[Although domestic violence is not good, this kind of child still needs to be educated. If you don’t fight for three days, you will go to the house to expose the roof tiles. 】

Perhaps it was because Zhang Wen wanted to teach her younger brother a lesson, but she didn’t stop the video call. Her brother’s painful image of being scolded and crying bitterly was faithfully streamed live.

“I just want to pass the level, who’d have known, playing all this time and I still haven’t cleared it. I thought that if I go back home early, or go back home late, it’s the same—I will still be beaten. Why not be beaten after I pass the level?”

[The host is right, this kid is really a logical genius.]

[Then reward him with fried pork with bamboo shoots and mixed doubles.]

An Ru picked up the teacup and took a sip of tea to moisten her throat. Her expression was cold, as if everything unfolded as expected.

The parents took the younger brother home, and the younger brother was punished by his father by copying a hundred excellent essays. The mother went to the police station to explain what happened and thanked everyone.

The police at the station were all surprised and speechless. Bear children2 are born every year, but it’s quite rare to see them raised to this extent!

  1. 森林冰火人. Forest Ice Fire Man. It seems to be a real mini game for 2 players—one plays a Fire boy and the other, a Water girl. The two need to cooperate to pass each level, requiring quick reflexes and dexterity.

  2. Bear children. It’s slang for spoiled, unreasonable children—probably because they are seen as feral and have no manners. ↩︎
