[ILivestreamDivination] Chapter 21.4 — Loathing Victory Technique

While they contemplated what to do with this unexpected scenario, An Rugu walked around the company, looking around and making gestures in front of her eyes.

An Rugu was wearing plain clothes which marked her as completely different from the uniformed Special Cases Management Bureau officers, like an outsider. The team members’ gazes fell on her from time to time, curious about what An Rugu was doing.

They had been dispatched to this site because of the haunting incident which, of course, had to be dealt with as soon as possible. They gathered together to discuss matters, hoping to brainstorm and come up with a new plan.

They were quite focused.

However, at this time, An Rugu seemed to have finally ascertained something and walked up to Li Wenzhong, who was now a little distressed at the situation.

“I know where the cache is.”

Everyone: “!!!”

“Really?” Li Wenzhong’s hand shook, and the cigarette in his mouth almost fell to the ground. “Where is the cache?”

Neither Lin Weiyu nor Su Lai could find it, but this Daoist priest from an unknown Daoist temple could actually stumble upon a clue?

An Rugu stretched out her index finger neatly and—in front of everyone’s anticipation-filled eyes—pointed down to where she was standing. “The cache is under my feet.”

Everyone followed her finger. They were now on the first floor. Under her feet… Could it be the underground?

“How do you know?” Li Wenzhong asked curiously.

“The energy is the strongest here,” An Rugu said.

In her sight, the world was completely different from what normal people would see. There was a huge, black vortex at the bottom of the building. It constantly emitted black fumes, non-stop, rushing upwards and surrounding everyone.

She saw everyone’s faces, and she couldn’t help lowering her gaze, too dazed by her discovery that she inadvertently said her thoughts out loud, “Oh, so you can’t see the energies….”

Li Wenzhong and others: “…”

They inexplicably felt that they were being ridiculed…

… …

An Rugu really didn’t mean to be sarcastic: she was just thinking about her own abilities. She met some Daoist people last time, and now she met some bureau officials. To be honest, she could see that their strength and means were a bit far behind her own.

A few days ago, Shang Yue asked her why the five-emperor coins she made was so much more powerful than the other five-emperor coins she has previously encountered.

Now, An Rugu had come to realize that… she was actually very strong!

… …

Li Wenzhong didn’t really believe that An Rugu was that extraordinary, but at least she provided a clue, so he would arrange for someone to go and check. “Do you have a specific location?”

An Rugu found a piece of paper and put it on the floor as an anchor point. “The cache is twenty meters down from here.”

The Changjiu Real Estate Company building was 30 stories high. The foundation, of course, was dug extremely deep, and any excavation now would be very difficult to execute and was not something that could be completed in a short time.

If they wanted to carry out such a large-scale excavation, they must first communicate with the relevant departments and agencies.

Li Wenzhong thanked An Rugu, saying that they would dig down according to her recommendation, and then asked her to leave her contact information so that they could contact her in the future, if necessary.

An Rugu packed up her things and left under everyone’s curious or surprised gazes.

She walked out of the main door, looked into the distance, and discovered that Vice Chairman Sun hadn’t left yet and was still in the parked car, waiting for her.

Seeing An Rugu come out, his eyes lit up, and he quickly poked his head out of the car window, “Master, is the curse now resolved?”

An Rugu shook her head slightly, “The cache is under your company building, and it can’t be dug out yet.”

“Then what should we do?” Vice Chairman Sun said, panicking, “Master, you should settle the matter first before leaving.”

An Rugu turned and looked in the direction of the company, “People are already dealing with the haunting in your company. When the cache is dug up, they will also handle it well.”

Vice Chairman Sun thought of the well-trained group in black uniforms, felt they were a little reliable, and finally relaxed.

But as he thought about the things possibly buried beneath the building, the more he thought about it, the angrier he became, and he kept cursing, “Which villain did this kind of sabotage under the very nose of our company? Really disgusting, makes me go crazy, who is it…”

An Rugu carefully looked at his face; her temperament became more and more remote, and her tone cold. “Do you really not know the source of this matter?”

Vice Chairman Sun was about to say that he didn’t know, but suddenly, he seemed to think of something. He opened his mouth but ended up speechless. Feelings of guilt gradually rose up inside him and he felt short of breath. It took him a long time before he could finally croak out, “I… I really don’t know.”

An Rugu didn’t  bother with him anymore. She turned around and left with long strides. The wind carried her words to Vice Chairman’s Sun’s ears: “…what you sow, you will reap.”

Vice Chairman Sun became more and more frightened as he thought about it. He couldn’t help but hug himself tightly. After thinking about it, he took out his mobile phone and called someone.

“Chairman, the master I brought here, she said that some kind of cache is buried under the company building… it can’t be the doings of those people, right?”

On the other end of the phone, the Chairman was stunned for a long time; when he finally understood matters, he kept gritting his teeth.

To hide things deep underground, who else could do it but the construction workers they hired?

The chairman hung up the phone with a worried look on his face. He suddenly remembered something.

In the past few years, the real estate industry has been facing difficulties. Their company looked like a fine brocade from the outside, but in fact, things were already on fire inside. In addition to the continued layoffs, their company at the time owed their workers two years worth of unpaid wages.

Many workers have banded together to demand wages before, but they were all successfully sent back, and the matter did not blow up.

This was the third year they haven’t paid for backwages… and the first year they’ve moved to a new building.

  1. I can’t understand how you can be two YEARS behind paying wages. How are these employees surviving? Why haven’t they left??
