[7YrSecretLove] Chapter 53.1 — Wedding Photos On A Rainy Day

Qin Moling looked at the chat history between him and Jiang Shenghe. As to whether this matter was true or not, the only thing that could possibly be true was the sentence ‘I’m with Luo Qi’.

It was impossible for them to have gotten the marriage certificate and take wedding photos. Luo Qi’s character was not one for flash marriages.

When he and Jian Hang held their wedding in September, Jiang Shenghe had not yet caught up with Luo Qi. At that time, Jiang Shenghe was one of the best men. Luo Qi had a psychological burden because her boss was the best man, so she hesitated for a long time before agreeing to be the bridesmaid.

At that time, Luo Qi only thought of Jiang Shenghe as her boss.

Even if they really have gotten together, they couldn’t have been in a relationship for more than a month— how could they have already gotten a marriage certificate?

Jiang Shenghe knew that Qin Moling didn’t believe him. Xu Xiangyi didn’t believe it at first either.

[It has just been settled. Uncle Xu came here this time specifically to work on my Dad. As you know, my Dad would look down on Luo Qi’s family. Luo Qi and I haven’t officially met each other’s parents yet.]

Only then did Qin Moling feel that this was real. He didn’t congratulate him. Seven years was too long, and ‘congratulations’ seemed insignificant in the face of this.

Growing up together, he would mercilessly tease Jiang Shenghe about everything, and he would never miss an opportunity to mock him. Except about his secret love for Luo Qi. He has never made fun of Jiang Shenghe about this—not even a single joke.

[About Uncle Jiang, do you need my help?]

Jiang Shenghe: [No need. He doesn’t like me, and he doesn’t like you either.]

Qin Moling: “…”

In Uncle Jiang’s eyes, he and Jiang Shenghe were the same, and neither of them was good.

[When did you get together?]

After asking, he suddenly thought of Jiang Shenghe’s post on his Moments: [9.25?]

Jiang Shenghe: [We got the marriage certificate on 9.25.]

Having reached the point of the two of them getting a marriage certificate, the conundrum seemed to have entered an endless loop. Jiang Shenghe guessed that Qin Moling still couldn’t believe it.

Without waiting for Qin Moling to raise his doubts, Jiang Shenghe explained: [It was just like your flash marriage. Luo Qi has no feelings for me, and getting the marriage certificate was my only chance to be together with her.]

Qin Moling understood; it was the same after his second blind date with Jian Hang.

[Uncle Xu is working on Uncle Jiang. When do you plan to make it public?]

Jiang Shenghe thought about how to explain it—if he said that they are waiting until Luo Qi was free from the pressure of money before making it public, Qin Moling would definitely not understand it. Qin Moling himself and Jian Hang had conflicts over money.

Jian Hang would rather take out a loan than use Qin Moling’s money, hurting Qin Moling in the process.

Jian Hang wanted to be more financially independent.

Qin Moling found it boring for a husband and wife to have such divisions.

[I will make it public when I really catch up with Luo Qi, and the relationship is particularly good. It’s not like you don’t know that Luo Qi is slow to develop feelings. She can’t even develop a relationship in a year and a half. It’s not easy for her to be willing to get the marriage certificate with me.]

It was indeed not easy. Even now, Qin Moling couldn’t believe that a flash marriage would ever happen to Luo Qi.

Agreeing to get married in a flash was probably because of Jiang Shenghe’s persistence for more than seven years.

[Will you go to the charity reception tomorrow night?]

Jiang Shenghe: [Not going. Li Rui will go on my behalf.]

He repeated: [I’m in Suzhou.]

Qin Moling: [Got it. You’re gonna take wedding photos, right?]

Jiang Shenghe wouldn’t believe the sincerity of this sentence; at first glance, it was definitely teasing him.

Unfortunately, Jiang Shenghe was hard pressed to argue with him.

The season was really not suitable for taking wedding photos. It was a bit cold, and it wasn’t the best time for Suzhou’s scenery.

Jiang Shenghe resolved to show him some behind-the-scenes footage tomorrow and make his mouth shut up.

… …

Qin Moling had no time to chat anymore and sent Jiang Shenghe and Luo Qi’s marriage certificate and  wedding photo to Jian Hang.

[They got a marriage certificate.]

He also attached a screenshot of his chat with Jiang Shenghe.

Jian Hang: [Thank you, Husband.]

He didn’t tease her, nor did he show off what he learned. He immediately shared it with her as soon as he found out.

Qin Moling: [They have no plans to make it public for the time being, so Jiang Shenghe can’t say anything yet. Let’s give them a wedding gift. You decide what to give.]

… …

When they arrived in Suzhou, Jiang Yifang and Luo Zhiqiu came to pick them up at the train station.

Jiang Shenghe’s driver also came in an off-road vehicle; he was assigned to take Luo Yu home.

Luo Yu checked Suzhou’s weather forecast: it was predicting light rain tomorrow and sunny weather the day after tomorrow.

“Older sister, it says it will rain tomorrow. I don’t know if it will rain during your photoshoot or not.”

“It doesn’t matter if it rains. If it rains heavily, we’ll just push the schedule back and stay here for a few more days.”

Luo Yu was so envious. Being the boss of the company was great. She could go wherever she wanted and she wouldn’t have to ask for leave from anyone.

She hadn’t come home during the National Day holiday, and she really wanted to stay this time for a few more days, but Party A’s villainous Daddy didn’t approve her leave.

After getting in the car, Luo Qi also turned on the weather forecast.

It would be very frustrating if it rained when they were taking pictures.

Suddenly, inspiration struck, and she asked the photographer: [The forecast said it will rain. I want to take a set of rainy day photos. Can it be done that way? My husband prefers the atmosphere of a rainy day.]

Photographer: [I have no problem on my end, but your wedding dress will definitely be stained. You should first ask the bridal shop how much is the price of the wedding dress, so you don’t get ripped off when they claim compensation for ruining it.]

Luo Qi told the photographer that the wedding dress was not rented but bought specifically for taking pictures.

[It doesn’t matter if I ruin it, I won’t be able to wear it in the future anyway. ]

The photographer said with a smile: [Since you spent so much money over it, then you really must make the best use of it.]

On rainy days, the most artistic places in Suzhou were the alleys and stone bridges along the river near Luo Qi’s home.

The photographer asked again: [“Do you want to take a pictures of a rainy night? Your house actually looks better at night.”]

[This must be photographed.] Luo Qi did not hesitate at all.

[Sorry I will trouble you with this. You can add the price difference when you send the bill.]

This was naturally considered a change in the shooting package.

The photographer smiled: [What’s the added price for? Your older brother and I have known each other for more than 20 years.] He and Luo Yuli were classmates in elementary school. Luo Yuli often referred clients to him and forwarded promotions for him.

Luo Qi thanked him and said smoothly: [“Older Brother should be taking wedding photos soon, too.”]

Photographer: “?”

He asked, a little confused: [Your older brother has a girlfriend?]

That shouldn’t be.

He talked to Luo Yuli on the phone recently, but he never mentioned he had a girlfriend.

It seemed that Older Brother hasn’t introduced his girlfriend to the photographer yet. He met her on a blind date, so perhaps the feelings aren’t quite there yet.

Luo Qi and the photographer agreed on the time and place to meet, as well as the most important prop—an umbrella. The photographer said he would prepare it. Such clear discussion would result in good shooting effect.

… …

Luo Qi turned to Jiang Shenghe and said, “We now have a shoot on a rainy day. I have already discussed it with the photographer.”

Jiang Shenghe was driving. He wasn’t very used to driving his father-in-law’s car. He had been focusing on the traffic and didn’t notice that she was messaging someone.

His first reaction was, “If it’s raining then you’d be cold in your wedding dress.”

“It won’t be too cold.” Even if it was really cold then she just had to endure it.

She really wanted a set of rainy night wedding photos.

Jiang Yifang interjected, “I’ll find your old down jacket when I get home and take it with me tomorrow. Put it on when you’re not shooting. Then I’ll put your dad’s car on the side of the road so you can hide away from the cold in between.”

Luo Qi turned to look at the back seat, “Mom, you also think it’s nice to take wedding pictures in the rain, right?”

Jiang Yifang smiled, “Yeah.”

She actually didn’t appreciate it and preferred clear skies. However, the photo that her daughter posted on her WeChat Moments before showed two people’s backs walking under one umbrella.

Rainy days should have a different meaning to her daughter and Jiang Shenghe.
