‘CEO chasing the wife to the crematorium’ is also a popular trope, and I am a firm advocate of adding this tag to Novel Updates. A lot of these stories are well-written and lots of people like to read about men who realize they’re wrong and do their best to make up for their mistakes. There are also many people who cannot abide the MC taking these bastards back (which is fair). Unfortunately, no matter how good the story is written, the latter group would always give a 1-star because the cannot stand the main premise (that the ML is the bastard guy) which tanks the rating. And now you don’t know if the 3.2 rating is because the story is terrible or the previous readers didn’t like the trope.

I feel like if you go in knowing that the cinema is showing a horror film, you can’t complain if there are ghosts in it. So yeah, NU needs a tag for wife-chasing-crematorium stories 🤗
