[ILivestreamDivination] Chapter 53.1 — What A Messed Up Family

An Rugu’s eyes dimmed, and after pondering for a moment, she felt that this kind of evil person was very contradictory. Since he made the effort to come to Cloud Rise Temple, it meant that he was seeking for something, and he at least had some faith in gods and buddhas.

But since he believed in gods and buddhas, then why wasn’t he afraid of karmic retribution?

Perhaps he was too bold, and in his heart he felt he was lucky so he simply took his chances.

She watched from a distance as the pair of men walked up to her. Without saying a word, she turned her eyes away coldly, as if she didn’t care about them at all.

Wu Deqi has not received a cold look in many years; he has always been dark and irritable. He was immediately a little dissatisfied but thinking that this was a very powerful master on the Internet with many fans, it was not good for him to get angry on the spot.

He suppressed the anger in his heart, turned his head, and gave his secretary a speaking look.

After receiving the signal, the secretary hurriedly said to An Rugu, “Hello, Master. We came to you specially today for divination. Could you please help our chairman calculate where his youngest son is right now? He has been missing for several days now and we are very worried.”

An Rugu sprinkled a handful of fish food unhurriedly. When she finally spoke, her voice was cold and calm, but her words made the people around her feel horrified.

“I think you’d better not worry about where your son is… you’re about to face a prison disaster.”

The secretary did not expect that the Daoist priest would speak like this, and he quickly turned to look at the chairman. The chairman’s face turned dark, as if a dark cloud was threatening to destroy the city.

After listening to An Rugu’s words, Wu De felt more and more that she was a scam artist.

He was indeed a gangster in his early years. Over the past few years, the higher-ups had made a series of moves to eradicate criminality and countless criminal forces had been wiped out.

But he was smarter than the others. He started to walk towards the righteous path very early on, and he was able to make a clear distinction between himself now and the black doings from before. Even the veteran detective who had been watching him for decades couldn’t find any evidence to convict him and could only sigh.

So what the hell was this internet celebrity numerology guru talking about?

Wu De broke the pretense of politeness and openly sneered, “First ask about who I am, and then talk. You’re given a few colors, and you really built a dyeing room1.”

The tone was full of contempt.

An Rugu lowered her gaze to the few goldfish that wandered here and there aimlessly and said in a casual tone, “The seven kills in your eight characters are strong and have no seal, the food and injuries are mixed, and the bias is different. The source of money is unclear, and there are a lot of unexplained wealth from unclean sources. Were you not a gangster before?”

Wu De’s smile froze on his face, and a look of horror flashed across his eyes. Ever since he became legitimate, except for those ‘old friends’ of his, no one had been able to tell where his wealth originally came from.

This fortune teller… it seemed like she really has something.

Wu De had always been good at pretending. Seeing  that An Rugu actually had some ability, he raised the corner of his mouth and smiled with a friendly look, “Just now, I was blind and couldn’t see the mountain before me. Those who know shouldn’t care about the faults of the ignorant. Don’t take it to heart. You said I would go to prison. Can this disaster be averted?”

If An Rugu continued to pursue his rude behavior, it would only show that she was not magnanimous enough.

However, An Rugu’s expression was as cold as ever, as if she had never taken Wu De seriously from the beginning.

“The prison disaster you face is not a sudden misfortune, but a certain calamity in your destiny. It is karmic retribution. How can you avert it?”

If she tried to help him solve it, it would harm her own moral character, and she would be in trouble for something useless.

Hearing such rude words, Wu De was so angry that he waved his hands in disgust and prepared to walk away.

But thinking of his missing son, he took a step back, feeling very much humiliated in his heart, “Then let’s not worry about the prison disaster for now, but please let me figure out where my son is.”

“If you’re asking me to tell your fortune, you need to pay the divination fee.”

“How many?”

“—.”

The secretary quickly transferred the money to her.

An Rugu calculated with her fingers, and an inexplicable color flashed across her obsidian eyes.

This relationship was too messy…

Seeing that she was no longer calculating, the secretary quickly asked, “Master, is there any conclusion?”

An Rugu sealed the bag of fish food as usual, stopped feeding the already fattened goldfish, turned around and walked towards Cloud Rise Temple, her voice was like a misty wind, “Don’t worry, someone will naturally give you clues at this time tomorrow. “

Wu De: “???”

Secretary:”???”

The next day, in a certain company in the center of Nancheng.

Chairman Wu De put down the document in his hand and rubbed the center of his brow. His young son, who was as precious as a pearl, had not yet been found. This situation made him very uneasy, and he couldn’t read the document in front of him at all.

At this time, his cell phone suddenly rang. When he opened it, it turned out to be his eldest son calling.

Seeing this name, deep disgust flashed in his eyes.

He had this son with a rural woman he once dated from his old hometown. When he moved to the city and made his fortune, he kicked this woman and son out.

How could that vulgar woman and her inferior genes produce a good son? Moreover, he had not raised his eldest son when he was young and he had no affection for him at all.

It just felt like having a disgusting brown candy stuck on his shoe.

The younger son was born from the most beautiful woman around him. He has a cute appearance and an innocent expression, and Wu De loved him the most in this world.

He thought for a moment and pressed the answer button, his tone filled with deep impatience, “What do you want from me?”

The person on the other side of the call also had a cold tone and did not call him ‘Dad’. He said, “Where’s Lele? Why can’t I contact him?”

Wu De sneered, “It’s none of your business, just scram as far away as you can!”

Then he immediately hung up the phone.

His eldest son paid too much attention to his younger son, confusing people. Those who didn’t know would have thought that Lele was his child.

FOOTNOTE:

  1.  This refers to someone who doesn’t give other people face because of some misplaced arrogance or complacency. In this case, We Du is accusing An ‘fake guru’ Rugu of letting her internet fame get to her head when she doesn’t even know who he is (a.k.a. Mr. Big Shot). ↩︎

One response to “[ILivestreamDivination] Chapter 53.1 — What A Messed Up Family”

  1. I’m going to take a shot in the dark and assume Lele is Wu De’s eldest son’s child, lol. I can’t wait to see his reaction if it turns out to be true since he’s a scumbag and has blood on his hands; he doesn’t deserve a good ending, especially since he feels no remorse for his actions.

    Thanks for the chapter! 😀
