[MarriageFirstLoveLater] Chapter 26.1 — Intention

At the end of the call, Jian Hang put down her mobile phone.

“What do you think?” she asked Qin Moling.

Qin Moling only paid attention to her calling him ‘husband’ just now; he didn’t hear anything else. How could he express his opinion?

But he couldn’t tell her that he didn’t hear anything. She would misunderstand that he didn’t care about matters related to her.

Qin Moling took a sip of coffee and thought about how to deal with it. He said quietly, “My focus may be different from yours. Tell me what you think first.”

Jian Hang had no doubts about him. Sometimes men and women did have completely different views on the same thing.

She insisted on her original intention, “I can’t possibly withdraw the lawsuit: it’s what I deserve. I understand that this is not easy for Liao Yongmei, but one thing is different from another.”

In Liao Yongmei’s view, if there was a lawsuit, the final result would be that she has to apologize to Jian Hang and would compensate her for a certain amount of mental losses. If there was a private settlement, Liao Yongmei would still apologize and would even pay more compensation.

Since the result was the same, there was no need to care about they push through with the lawsuit or go for a settlement.

Liao Yongmei was Gao Yu’s wife.

Jian Hang added, “I don’t lack that money she would pay as mental compensation. And I don’t care if she doesn’t apologize. I just need a legal judgment.”

Qin Moling nodded, “Tell Lawyer Xing that no matter what settlement conditions the other party offers, he should refuse directly.”

Jian Hang was curious, “What are your concerns?”

Qin Moling: “…”

He said calmly, “It’s the same as what you think, pursue legal avenues.”

This plastic husband of hers didn’t think she was being too much, and he had the same idea as her. Jian Hang was inexplicably in a better mood.

She took a sip to taste the coffee he made.

After drinking all the coffee, Aunt Geng warmed up half a glass of milk for her and placed it before her.

Jian Hang has only drunk the same brand of milk for so many years. How could she easily change to another one? She tasted the difference after only one sip.

After two seconds of adapting, she then drank half a glass of milk.

Her slight pause was just caught by Qin Moling.

Jian Hang ate less and so finished eating sooner. Qin Moling was still eating slowly in front of her. If this was a morning from few days ago, she would have stood up and gone straight to the company after eating, without a minute’s delay. But she was not in a hurry to leave this morning and deliberately stayed to accompany Qin Moling.

Sitting awkwardly, she poured a glass of warm water to drink.

Qin Moling thought about it. At breakfast today, she drank a cup of coffee and half a cup of milk—she should not be so thirsty that she had to drink another glass of warm water.

There was only one possibility: she had something to ask him but was embarrassed to.

“Anything else?” he took the initiative to ask.

Jian Hang: “… It’s okay. Just drinking a few sips of water.”

She took another sip, “Eat slowly.”

She put down the glass and left.

Qin Moling watched her walk out of the villa, and he withdrew his eyes.

With many years of experience in reading romance novels, Aunt Geng guessed at something. She said, “Xiaohang wanted to accompany you for breakfast.”

Qin Moling suddenly realized that he helped with that matter involving Mrs. Gao. She didn’t know how to thank him, so she wanted to accompany him for breakfast.

He told Aunt Geng, “Buy more milk from the previous brand. We’ll drink that milk at home in the future.”

Aunt Geng had a deep impression of that brand of fresh milk. After Qin Moling drank 14 boxes, she didn’t have to buy it again, but now the family would drink it again. She couldn’t guess at the reason, and she wouldn’t ask much.

“Auntie, are you going to boil tea eggs tomorrow?” Qin Moling asked.

Aunt Geng nodded, “I want to give Xiaohang a change of taste. I don’t think she likes to eat fried eggs.

Qin Moling said, “You can choose from the tea in the refrigerator. If there’s anything else you need, let me know.”

Aunt Geng smiled and nodded repeatedly. Using those tea leaves in the refrigerator to cook tea eggs—those tea eggs will be very valuable indeed.

Of course, it was not a matter of money—it was a matter of intention.

Qin Moling’s phone had a call coming in: it was Zhong Yanfei.

He didn’t answer; he muted it and let it ring.

In the yard, Jian Hang put her bag and laptop bag in the passenger seat.

Yesterday, it was Qin Moling who drove, and the seat was adjusted according to his requirements. While she was readjusting the seat, she inadvertently turned her head and saw a suit jacket on the back seat.

Folded neatly.

She remembered things clearly: last night, Qin Moling got this suit off the car and wanted it have it dry cleaned.

Overnight, the clothes have returned to the car.

Jian Hang couldn’t figure out what Qin Moling meant, so she directly asked him: [“Shall I send the suit for dry cleaning?”]

Qin Moling was still in the dining room. He looked at the cars in the yard through the french windows. He couldn’t see the person in the car through the tint of the windshield. He replied to her: [Aunt Geng said that she already had it dry cleaned, I put it back in your car in case you need it.]

It was better to be prepared for any unexpected needs; in case of a cooler day, she could wear a warm and windproof outfit.

He sent out: [“I have a lot of suits. If you need them, just go to the wardrobe and choose the color yourself.”]

Jian Hang looked up and looked into the dining room from the car.

The early morning sun sprinkled on the french window of the dining room. Facing the light, she only saw the silhouette sitting before the table.

Jian Hang lowered her head and replied, [“This one in the car is good.”]

[“When I need another one, I won’t be polite to you”], she added.

Qin Moling: [“Eating fast is not conducive to digestion, so eat more slowly in the future.”]

Jian Hang: “…”

She was completely confused.

She didn’t eat fast; she just ate less.

But she didn’t want to let down his kindness, so she said, [“Okay, I understand.”]

Qin Moling asked her to eat slowly, hoping that she would continue to accompany him to eat breakfast tomorrow. But Jian Hang did not understand the meaning behind it.

The car in the yard drove away, and Qin Moling withdrew his gaze.

T/N: ‘Of course, it was not a matter of money—it was a matter of intention.‘ This is where the chapter title came from. The word has a sincere emotional component such that it could also mean ‘heart’.

  1. Ah good, we are hearing about the resolution with Mrs Gao. I hope it clears things up for her and makes things better. Especially if they all find out the reason she was suspected of being in an affair is because she met him for business with a group of colleagues.

  2. Yes i put my jacket back in your car (after I rubbed it on myself so it smells like me to keep those wall diggers away)😆
