[7YrSecretLove] Chapter 42.3 — Stay in the Villa on Fridays and Weekends

Halfway through the holiday, their mothers started to get busy, and it was inconvenient for Luo Qi to date at home.

On the 5th, she returned to Beijing from Suzhou City. There were eight days in this year’s long vacation, and there were still three days left to spend with Jiang Shenghe.

Once vacation was over, she would begin working in Ruipu, so she wouldn’t get to see him every day anymore.

Jiang Sheng went back with her. He bought the return ticket and bought them business seats.

On previous business trips, their seats were separated by aisles and baffles. This time Jiang Shenghe bought tickets for two seats next to each other.

Luo Qi sat in the window seat and felt Jiang Shenghe looking at her the entire time. She was taking pictures with her phone of the scenery outside the window. She had taken many pictures of the same scene along this road in different seasons.

Jiang Shenghe remembered the first time he came to Suzhou City on a business trip with her—she had also taken pictures of the scene outside the window.

“Luo Qi.”

He called her, and so she had to look back.

“Chief Jiang, what is it?”

Jiang Shenghe now no longer worried about what she called him: she could call him whatever she wanted.

He asked, “Would you like to create a shared photo album?”

Luo Qi hesitated for a moment then nodded, “Okay.”

“Chief Jiang, do you also like to take pictures?”

“I can’t say that I like it. I took three or four pictures in the past few years.”

The shared photo album was soon created.

Jiang Shenghe asked her to upload all her usual landscape photos to the shared album.

Luo Qi tilted her head to look at him, “My photography skills are average. I only take landscape photos, which may be a bit boring.”

“It’s not boring.” He said, “You share the pictures and I will comment on them for you.”

The first photo that Jiang Sheng shared was the photo of their backs on that rainy night in Suzhou City.

Luo Qi selected a few of the photos she took of him at the financial summit that day.

“Chief Jiang.”

“Hm?”

Within a handful of minutes, she called out ‘Chief Jiang’ three times.

“Is the screen saver on your phone a picture from the Internet or one you took yourself?” Luo Qi asked him.

Jiang Shenghe said, “I took the photo.”

He held his phone before her and Luo Qi looked at his screensaver: the colors were especially clear. That day, the sky was very blue and the clouds white behind the rows of tall buildings—he had a good angle in taking this photo.

“Can you send it to me?”

“Okay.” Jiang Shenghe found the original photo and sent it to her.

Her back was mixed in with the crowd in the photo, but it would be difficult to recognize her without zooming in and looking closely.

Luo Qi never imagined that she was in it and set this photo as their chat background.

After setting the background picture, she showed Jiang Shenghe the picture of her favorite tavern.

“Chief Jiang, I will invite you to the tavern again next time.”

Jiang Shenghe readily agreed, his voice full of indulgence, “Okay.”

Seeing the signboard of the tavern, ‘Come, I’m still here‘, he said, “I also took a picture of this.”

“You also took a photo of the name of the tavern?”

“Not exactly.”

“Show me.”

Luo Qi put her arm on the armrest in the middle of their seats, trying to see from which angle Jiang Shenghe took the photo of the tavern.

Jiang Shenghe turned sideways facing her and enlarged the photo.

In the photo, she was taking a photo of the tavern’s sign.

She was looking at the tavern and he was always looking at her.

Luo Qi’s eyes moved from the phone screen to his face, “Thank you, Chief Jiang. In the future, I will also take pictures of you.”

As soon as she finished speaking, Jiang Shenghe dipped his head and kissed her.

He was blocking the view so the people on the other side of the aisle couldn’t see what they were doing.

Jiang Shenghe was still holding the mobile phone, and his hand remained there without moving.

Luo Qi raised her head slightly and responded to his kiss.

She wanted to find a point of support, and her left hand found his sleeve and grasped it.

The kiss gave vent to his possessiveness.

Luo Qi leaned back, their lips parted, and she kissed him one more time on the cheek, ending the unexpected and inappropriate kiss.

After kissing, she rested her temple on his shoulder, and pretended that nothing had happened, staring at the photos in the shared album with dazed eyes.

Jiang Shenghe sat upright without moving his arm, lending it to her to lean on. He crossed his legs and clicked through the photos she took at the financial summit.

After a while, Luo Qi also calmed down.

She shared all the photos she took in the past year to the shared album, and Jiang Shenghe looked through them all.

Jiang Shenghe’s final comment to her was: Master of Photoshopping Pictures.

Back at the rental house, Luo Qi opened the window for ventilation, and Jiang Shenghe carried her suitcase to the bedroom.

He received a call from an overseas company, and there was an email that he urgently needed to reply to.

If they went out to eat, they would only worry about meeting people from the Yuanwei group. They didn’t know what kind of rumors would spread, so the two decided to just have a simple meal at home.

Jiang Shenghe planned to make vegetable meat rolls for Luo Qi. He had learned it from Teacher Chen and was now ready to make it for her.

Luo Qi put on her coat to go and buy the ingredients.

Jiang Shenghe said, “Wait a moment, I’ll just handle the mail and come with you.”

“No need.” Luo Qi changed her shoes, “I also need to get my car cleaned so I may as well drive it. You can do your work.” She pointed to the laptop on the table, “If using the phone is inconvenient, you can use my computer.”

She told him what the password was.

Luo Qi took her mobile phone and car keys to go downstairs. As she was closing the door, she glanced at Jiang Shenghe again. There was someone at home; she didn’t have to take her keys with her when she went out.

The roads in her community were not wide. There were many electric vehicles and pedestrians, so vehicles passing in both directions must drive slowly to avoid collisions.

Luo Qi was driving slowly, and a tough-looking, black SUV came from the opposite side. There were shadows of trees dancing on the windshield, the glass reflected light, and the man was wearing sunglasses. Luo Qi couldn’t see clearly who was in the car.
