[MarriageFirstLoveLater] Chapter 20.3 — Make Things Difficult

Qin Moling did not respond. This was beyond easy for him; a trifling matter. He was one of the shareholders of this club but never got involved in its management so few outsiders knew about it.

Jian Hang didn’t even know what investments he had in his private name.

Qin Moling turned around and walked towards the club. Jian Hang followed. She had to go back upstairs to wait for Zhong Yanfei.

“We are asked to have dinner at my grandparents’ house tomorrow night,” Qin Moling said smoothly.

Jian Hang did not forget, “Yes, Grandma told me.”

Qin Moling said, “Grandpa and grandma will ask when the wedding will be held. How do you plan to respond?”

Jian Hang tilted her head and looked at him. He also just happened to turn his head.

Their eyes met. He was a head taller than her, and she felt his aura overpower her for no reason.

In the half-bright light, his outline seemed more distinct and profound.

Jian Hang understood what he meant: he didn’t want to have a wedding any time soon.

Qin Moling said bluntly, “We are not familiar with each other yet, it’s better that the wedding be postponed until later.”

Jian Hang nodded, “I’ll answer grandma that way then.”

The Qin family’s grandparents would give her face in everything, and sometimes one sentence from her was more effective than ten sentences from Qin Moling.

The wedding was a matter between two people. Since he didn’t want to have it, there was no point in her insisting.

And it was true that they really weren’t familiar with each other yet.

While talking, they walked all the way to the elevator.

The staff has already opened the elevator door for them.

Qin Moling stood by the door and let her go in first, and then he himself walked into the elevator.

The confined space was so small that Jian Hang could smell Qin Moling’s cool scent. The last time she was this close to him was back in the hospital, when she fell into his arms.

A man’s scent as good as this could easily confuse people. She wanted to remain rational and clear-headed and moved half a step to the side.

Qin Moling was looking down at her and saw her move away from him. He couldn’t tell whether she disliked him or was angry with him.

He patiently explained, “The wedding is to be postponed, not not to be held at all.”

Jian Hang did not take his words to mean anything sentimental and understood that he was only easing her worries.

The elevator reached the second floor. Jian Hang stepped out while Qin Moling went up to the third floor.

Jian Hang knew that the private rooms on the third floor were the largest and most luxurious private rooms in the club and were not open to the public. The hustle and bustle that happened inside the private rooms was invisible to the people outside.

The private room Zhong Yanfei was using was located on the second floor, and Jiian Hang had to walk farther after getting off the elevator.

When Xiao Zhang saw her coming back, she didn’t say anything but forced out an awkward and apologetic smile.

It seemed that Zhong Yanfei planned to continue to ridicule her.

Jian Hang carried her computer bag and headed back to the resting area.

This was not the first time that she had been bullied by a big client. Once, she had even been bullied by a big client for an entire day. The client left work immediately after finishing his meetings for the day and asked her to just come back another day. She waited all day in vain and couldn’t get angry; she even had to come back the next day and act like nothing happened.

Ever since she graduated and entered the financial industry, it had been common for her to suffer grievances for her work. She had always been able to bend and stretch as needed, and she has long been accustomed to it.

She would definitely win Wanyue Group’s project. The more Zhong Yanfei tried to ignore her, the calmer she must be and not get herself in trouble.

Jian Hang took out her laptop, placed it on the coffee table, opened it, and concentrated on processing emails.

… …

“Mrs. Qin, your car keys,” Qin Moling’s driver brought her car keys over.

Jian Hang was so unfamiliar with this title that she almost thought he wasn’t talking to her.

She took the car keys and said, “Thank you.”

The driver left.

Jian Hang calmed down her startled heart and continued reading emails.

Just treat it like she was working overtime at the club today. She had to work overtime somewhere anyway. She comforted herself in this way.

The driver turned at the end of the corridor and went to the usual private room upstairs.

Qin Moling was at the card table. It was very noisy in the private room, and some things couldn’t be made known to others. The driver typed on his mobile phone, reporting what he saw and what he learned from the club’s staff, and sent it off to Qin Moling.

After reading the message, Qin Moling’s eyes moved away from the mobile phone and fell on the cards in his hand.

He didn’t say a single word.

The driver had been working for the Qin family for a long time. He saw that the boss looked very unhappy.

When you think about it, Jian Hang had just been discharged from the hospital, and she had been made to wait for someone in the corridor of the club all this time and the person hadn’t even seen her yet. How could the boss be happy?

After all, the boss himself deigned to serve Jian Hang coffee and water with his own hands—how could he tolerate others wronging her?

Qin Moling signaled to the driver, “Call the manager and ask him who is in the private room downstairs.”

  1. In hindsight, I hope Lemeng has business with the people in that room and make them wait too. Zhong Yanfei and Yan Hansheng was it?

  2. She wants to make her accomplishments by herself so I hope he is careful that she keeps face in this situation

    1. Good point. I was so eager to faceslap them that I forgot to consider MCs POV and her desires.
