[WrongThenWrong] Chapter 18.2 — Day 6 (Missed Opportunity)

On the way back to the hotel, Cheng Liu was in a very good mood.

As soon as she closed the door to the hotel suite, she turned around and saw her boyfriend coming out of the bedroom.

“Good morning, what do you want to eat?” Cheng Liu asked reflexively.

Ji Chaozhou had just gotten up and his eyes were still a little dazed. He even forgot that he was not at home.

After a while, he finally woke up and remembered that he was in a hotel and there was the bodyguard standing in front of him.

“Anything.”

“Then I’ll ask the hotel to send some breakfast,” Cheng Liu dialed the number for room service. After ordering, she said to her boyfriend, “We can go to the mall after eating.”

Then I can give you your gift!

Ji Chaozhou stood in front of the mirror, washing his thin and slender hands under the cold, running water.

The person in the mirror has an almost sickly-white complexion and because he has just woken up, the ends of his eyes were a little red, which made him particularly eye-catching, and even more beautiful than he usually was.

But when he raised his eyes, frost and loneliness lingered around him again, like a cedar tree in full bloom that suddenly decayed and lost its vitality.

“It’s so early in the morning and you use cold water?” Cheng Liu suddenly appeared at the bathroom door. She leaned halfway in and turned the faucet to the other side. “Your fever has just subsided. Pay attention to your health.”

Sure enough, she still had to watch her boyfriend all the time—he didn’t know how to take care of himself at all!

Ji Chaozhou was caught off guard and turned, meeting Cheng Liu’s eyes. His amber eyes still contained a hint of astonishment that had not subsided, which actually alleviated the cold and lonely aura.

After Cheng Liu turned the faucet, she lightly pushed her boyfriend’s hands away and tested the water temperature for herself.

As the hot water released, warming up the flow, she took her hand back and said, “Okay, you can wash now.”

Ji Chaozhou: “…”

He slowly put his hand under the faucet again, and the warm water flowed out across his hands and between his fingers. The warm temperature traveled along his fingertips to his forearm, and then spread throughout his body.

Ji Chaozhou felt a little uncomfortable. He retracted his hands and turned the water off. Then he turned to look out the door; she had already walked out to the entrance hall.

Cheng Liu opened the door at the knock. Two room service waiters went in, pushing the dining cart before them.

She pointed to the dining table in the living area and said, “Just put it there.”

Cheng Liu only ordered light and refreshing items for breakfast so that her boyfriend could not eat any greasy food until his body has fully recovered from the fever.

After a while, Ji Chaozhou came out of the bathroom. The light blue shirt he was wearing was a little too big and a little loose on his body, but it still couldn’t hide his tall and slim figure.

“You can leave for now and just come back later to clean up the dishes,” Cheng Liu said to the waiters.

The two waiters followed the instructions and politely left.

Cheng Liu put the breakfast in the dining car on the table, “Eat first.”

She stood there and poured herself a cup of tea, drank it all in one gulp, and then poured another cup.

Ji Chaozhou sat at the table, lowered his head slightly, held a white porcelain spoon with his long fingers and mixed the porridge carelessly.

Cheng Liu just raised her head and was about to sip on her tea again, when her gaze caught her boyfriend out of the corner of her eye.

With this glance, she could see the slender, gently curved, snow-white nape. Because of his thin skin and his lowered head, the bones on the back of his neck were delineated, which was indescribably tempting.

“Pfff—”

Cheng Liu choked on the tea and quickly turned her head away. “Ahem!”

Ji Chaozhou heard the noises she was making and turned to look at her.

Cheng Liu put down the teacup and wiped her mouth. “The tea is too hot,” she excused herself with a serious face.

She definitely won’t think about it again!

Ji Chaozhou withdrew his gaze and continued to mix the porridge in front of him with his head down. He never liked eating, but he had to admit that what Number 6 ordered for him was something he wasn’t too reluctant to eat.

“I’m going to go out first. You can call me after you finish eating,” Cheng Liu said then efficiently ran away.

She was afraid that if she stayed any longer, her nose might start bleeding like a river!

Cheng Liu left the suite and simply went to the hotel’s restaurant to have breakfast.

While eating, she received a call from Director Li.

“Young President Cheng, how is your stay in our hotel?” Director Li asked with clear enthusiasm. “If you need anything, just tell the hotel manager directly.”

“It’s very good.” Cheng Liu was trying hard to control herself so as not to think about her boyfriend, lest any inappropriate images appear in her mind.

Director Li said in the tones of an experienced person, “A man and a woman living together in the same room will definitely help to promote feelings.”

Cheng Liu: “…”

Even thinking about it for a second made her feel like she was tainting her boyfriend.

“Director Li, have you been very free recently?” Cheng Liu changed the topic.

“Free? No, no, no, I will conduct an inspection of the hotel in the afternoon,” Director Li said seriously. “In order to express the sincerity of our Dongchu Hotel, I also have to communicate with the hotel guests in person.”

Of course, he will use this opportunity to take a good look at Cheng Liu’s boyfriend. He wanted to see who could make Cheng Liu, a hard and smelly stone, bloom.

“There have been quite a lot of fires in City S recently, and the hotel’s fire safety protocols need to be carefully audited,” Director Li said. “I heard that President Ji’s son seemed to have been involved in a fire yesterday. It seemed that he was…”

“Excuse me, I won’t talk with you anymore. I have to go to the mall with my boyfriend.” Cheng Liu had received a text message from her boyfriend, and she immediately hung up the phone call with Director Li, not hearing the second half of his sentence clearly.
