[WrongThenWrong] Chapter 6.1 — Day 2 (muddled about affairs between men and women)

The garden covered a large area, and it can be seen that every part had been carefully designed and cultivated all year round.

Ji Chaozhou pushed Aunt Yun’s wheelchair to a viewing pavilion. Below it was a pool of water with many koi fish wagging its tails leisurely.

Yun Se reached out to open the box placed on the stone table and grabbed a handful of fish food from it. Turning her head, she handed it to Ji Chaozhou.

Ji Chaozhou took the fish food and walked out from behind the wheelchair. The beauty sat on the side of the pavilion, leaning his slender forearms on the railing, and slowly separated the fingers of his outstretched hand, allowing the fish food to fall from between his fingers.

The koi in the pond swam towards the pavilion one after another, and after a while, large patch of red have gathered in the water, swimming back and forth.

“How did you happen to have a bodyguard just now?” Yun Se looked at her nephew and asked gently.

Ji Chaozhou’s eyes fell on the water, a small koi was looking up and waiting for the fish food. “He hired her.”

Yun Se understood, “Your father is only worried about you.”

Ji Chaozhou sprinkled the last of the fish food from his fingers and quietly watched that little koi gobble it up.

“Chaozhou, I don’t have much time.” Yun Se’s eyes were complicated, but she still looked at her nephew gently, “I’ll be with my sister from now on—”

“Aunt Yun, it’s windy outside, I’ll push you back,” Ji Chaozhou interrupted her.

After spreading the handful of fish food, Ji Chaozhou wiped his hands clean, and got up.

“Chaozhou, sit down first,” Yun Se’s tone became a little harsh—but when she got emotional, she started coughing.

Ji Chaozhou immediately stepped forward with a frown and stroked her back, “Don’t get angry.”

Yun Se’s coughs slowed down. She took Ji Chaozhou’s hand, pulled him to her, raised her head and said, “Listen to me first.”

Ji Chaozhou followed this time, bending and squatting down, looking straight at Aunt Yun.

“You look so much like my sister.” Yun Se raised her hand to touch her nephew’s face, nostalgia thick in her eyes. “Even your hobbies are similar. If my sister knows…she must be very happy.”

Ji Chaozhou’s long eyelashes trembled, but he remained silent.

“The matter between the elders has nothing to do with you.” Yun Se held her nephew’s hand tightly. “Chaozhou, you are still young, you have to be good. Nothing else matters. Aunt Yun just hopes that you don’t ruin your body.”

“I know,” he whispered.

Yun Se shook her head, “Chaozhou, I want you to promise.”

Ji Chaozhou looked up at the thin and pale woman in the wheelchair. She was his mother’s younger sister who took care of him growing up.

Now… she will also leave him.

In the end, a clear but slightly hoarse voice sounded in the pavilion, “…Okay.”

Only then did a smile appear on Yun Se’s face, and she patted her nephew’s hand, motioning him to push her back.

On the way, she picked up the lily-of-the-valleys placed on her knee, lowered her head, and smelled it. She said, “That child Yun Fei has grown up now and has her own thoughts.” Yun Se turned her head and said to Ji Chaozhou, “She is herself, and you are you. Don’t be constrained by her because of me.”

“Okay.” This time Ji Chaozhou responded directly.

The woman in the wheelchair raised her hand and elegantly pinned a lock of hair blown by the wind behind her ears. Her body was completely relaxed, her spirit at peace.

… …

In the villa’s living room, Cheng Liu has been sitting alone on the sofa for a while now.

After leading her here to sit down, the nurse turned around and went out again, leaving Cheng Liu behind.

Cheng Liu was a little nervous.

She never expected that her boyfriend would take her to meet his elders directly.

The woman in the wheelchair just now looked a bit like her boyfriend, so she should be related to his parents.

This development was too fast!

She’s not ready yet.

Cheng Liu thought about it carefully, and found that she was quite unfamiliar with the process of meeting the parents—the middle-aged business partners never mentioned anything similar before.

So Boss Cheng quietly looked at the living room to make sure that there was no one there, and she carefully took out her mobile phone to check.

But as soon as she took out her mobile phone—before she could even type a single word—the nurse who had left her here appeared again, carrying a tray with refreshments on it.

The nurse smiled at Cheng Liu politely, then placed the refreshments in front of her: “This tea is from madam’s own garden, you can try it.”

“Thank you.” Cheng Liu also smiled politely at the nurse, thinking in her heart it would be good to get some news out of the nurse’s mouth, to see what the elder just now liked.

At this time, the nurse took the initiative to turn on the TV, wanting to relieve Cheng Liu’s awkwardness.

Shenyin Technology has made sensational achievements in artificial intelligence technology in recent years…

As soon as the TV was turned on, a technology program came on. The host was introducing Shenyin Technology. The media image was her speech at the third anniversary event of the company from several years ago—she wasted two hours just getting her hair and make-up done.

As a direct result, after this, she didn’t like to participate in such activities anymore, and the media naturally couldn’t get any newer footage.

But now, Cheng Liu straightened her back and quietly glanced at the nurse seated next to her from the corner of her eye. She was actually seen by her appearing on TV.

Fate was helping her too!

After she and her boyfriend leaves, presumably the nurse would talk about her to that Aunt Yun just now.

Founder of Shenyin Technology, Cheng Liu thought to herself. The people on this list and that list—from media, business, technology—all had high evaluations of her.

She looked down at her legs, they were quite long; and her face was not bad. She could passably be called a promising, high-quality, young woman.

His parents should be satisfied, right?

What’s more, the TV was still praising her like it wants money!

Cheng Liu suddenly felt that there would be nothing wrong with being on TV more in the future.

  1. hahaha the nurse probably doesn’t even realize it’s the same person

  2. Finally some more background information about the ML! I’m glad his aunt cares a great deal about him, even if she has to force his hand in caring about his own well-being. I’m pretty sure the aunt will live long enough to be introduced to Cheng Liu properly, though. As for the father, that’s debatable as this point, but I’m going to make the obvious assumption that he’s someone who is only self-interested, although I hope I’m wrong.

    Thanks for the chapter! 😀
